Teacher texts mom: ‘Your son doodled and refusing to complete his working.’ Mom leaves work, storms to school, checks him out, and makes him do burpees in the parking lot until he’s gassed. ‘Stupid games get stupid prizes.’ Do you think parents should be allowed into the classrooms?
CeCe@cecegkh

It’s that time of year again, and like clockwork, they descend on the school in droves—parents who have been ghosts all year, suddenly outraged that their child is failing. They storm in during the final week, demanding answers, meetings, and miracles, as if the report card is some cruel surprise. Never mind the 10, 15, or even 20+ notices we sent home. Never mind the repeated phone calls, the emails, the texts begging for a parent conference. We reached out relentlessly, but radio silence was the only reply… until now. As teachers, we’ve learned the hard way to protect ourselves and our sanity. I keep meticulous records of every single contact attempt—every note sent, every call made, every voicemail left, every email and text. Each student has their own folder in my binder, a complete paper trail of our good-faith efforts. Because this end-of-year ambush is so predictable, our school sets aside a full day just for these parents. We line up tables in the gym like a tribunal of truth. Parents file in one by one. They give us the child’s name, and we calmly retrieve that thick folder. Then, as the complaints and accusations start flying—“You never told me!” “This isn’t fair!”—we begin the quiet, powerful ritual. One by one, we pull out each piece of documentation and lay it on the table in front of them. Dated. Detailed. Undeniable. The yelling fades. The bluster dies. The finger-pointing stops cold as the evidence stacks up right before their eyes. Why not get involved with your child’s education? We have proven data that children whose parents are engaged with the teachers and involved with the school are more successful.

I have returned to blue book exams, and my main issue is how to deal with the students' horrific handwriting.

🚨 University professors have been saying AI is completely destroying learning and that we'll soon have an AI-powered, semi-illiterate workforce. Here's a glimpse into the educational apocalypse: "Sarah, a freshman at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, said she first used ChatGPT to cheat during the spring semester of her final year of high school. (...) After getting acquainted with the chatbot, Sarah used it for all her classes: Indigenous studies, law, English, and a “hippie farming class” called Green Industries. “My grades were amazing,” she said. “It changed my life.” Sarah continued to use AI when she started college this past fall. Why wouldn’t she? Rarely did she sit in class and not see other students’ laptops open to ChatGPT. Toward the end of the semester, she began to think she might be dependent on the website. She already considered herself addicted to TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and Reddit, where she writes under the username maybeimnotsmart. “I spend so much time on TikTok,” she said. “Hours and hours, until my eyes start hurting, which makes it hard to plan and do my schoolwork. With ChatGPT, I can write an essay in two hours that normally takes 12.” - "By November, Williams estimated that at least half of his students were using AI to write their papers. Attempts at accountability were pointless. Williams had no faith in AI detectors, and the professor teaching the class instructed him not to fail individual papers, even the clearly AI-smoothed ones. “Every time I brought it up with the professor, I got the sense he was underestimating the power of ChatGPT, and the departmental stance was, ‘Well, it’s a slippery slope, and we can’t really prove they’re using AI,’” Williams said. “I was told to grade based on what the essay would’ve gotten if it were a ‘true attempt at a paper.’ So I was grading people on their ability to use ChatGPT.” - AI in education is a serious topic, and many schools and universities are blindly jumping into the "AI-first" wave without considering short and long-term consequences. It would be great to hear more from teachers and educators to understand potential solutions. This might be a great opportunity for rethinking the education system and how students are assessed. - 👉 Link to the full article below. 👉 To learn more about AI's legal and ethical challenges, join my newsletter's 94,700+ subscribers (link below).

ICE did not ABDUCT Disney cruise workers, they lawfully arrested a ring of alleged pedophiles. Here is the full statement from @ICEgov On April 28, HSI San Diego arrested 23 crew members from multiple cruise ships at the Port of San Diego as part of Operation Tidal Wave. The arrests targeted individuals suspected of involvement with Child S*xual Abuse Material (CSAM), based on information received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. @Principal_Jon They shouldnt. The problem is when the 30-45 year olds were in school the teachers and admin all told us to go to college. So we did then all those teachers and admin and rest of society vote to send jobs far away and to import cheap labor.

This is a must watch interview (especially for the 41 legislators who sided with religious discrimination. @SaraGonzalesTX does a phenomenal job eliciting the host’s real intent with this Muslim Only event. She pulled out three critical facts: 1. The event was intended to exclude non-Muslims. 2. The LLC where the money was sent to go doesn’t exist and was a “typo.” 3. She runs a “Learing Center” that lost its right to transact in the state. And for all grifters out there - don’t FA with Sara or you will FO.

I asked the Muslim-only waterpark event organizer about her Learing Center. She wasn’t happy. 🤷🏻‍♀️
