@choldgraf This is the only reason I bought a Mac. If any other manufacturer could pull off the same battery life I'd have bought that and put Ubuntu on it.

The battery life of the M-series macbook pros is long enough that it is functionally infinite for me. I feel like I did not appreciate this feature nearly enough before getting one.

@stevenheidel, idea for upselling ChatGPT 3.5 free users: On occasion, give a snippet showing how v4 would have responded to the same prompt with a link to upgrade. Lots to consider on how snippet size balances out with acquisition cost of course.

@ercan_IO Technically yes, but in practice I suspect this would require more effort than it's worth. If you cared to do so though, you'd need to write an Electron or React Native application that embeds the @reactpy/client" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">npmjs.com/package/@react… inside it.

wellp. python 3.12 `type x = ...` aliases won't be auto-rewritable because they can't be used equivalently :( >>> type a = int >>> isinstance(1, a) ... TypeError: isinstance() arg 2 must be a type, a tuple of types, or a union #issuecomment-1618914154" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/asottile/pyupg…

@giswqs Sure, but you could run the server in a virtual machine.

If a public service allowed you to "lend" your machine so that it could serve JupyterLab applications while you're not using it, would you do it? I'm thinking about a crowdsourced Binder.

@dolarsit ReactPy exists to make it easier to create UIs for those who don't know, or like JS. Since it all runs server-side, the Python packages you already know and love use "just work". And, just like ReactJS, we want a thriving ecosystem of 3rd party libs.
