@EmpHeals @cameron_arcand For context - in case the younger ones don’t know he really said this

English

@EmpHeals @cameron_arcand Actually a pretty safe city once you stop counting murder in the statistics

@ArthurC28692689 @WanjiruNjoya Come on over to sw va - southern values and culture still intact
English

@WanjiruNjoya Old maps don't matter. I wouldn't even call Virginia a southern state and they're south of Mason/Dixon. Bad take.

@HistoryWJacob Big difference:
Mexico was A FOREIGN COUNTRY.
So, you know, they weren't FUCKING TRAITORS in 1847.
In 1864, they were. Every last one of them. That we didn't execute them all was an act of mercy and political wisdom. A good decision, but one they didn't deserve.

On this day in 1847, General Winfield Scott captured Veracruz during the Mexican-American War.
After a 20 day siege including gunboat bombardments, they surrendered, setting the state for a full-scale invasion of Mexico.
During the Civil War, Lincoln asked Scott why he had captured Mexico City so quickly with a small force, while Union armies struggled against Richmond.
Scott: "The men who took us into Mexico City are the same men who are keeping us out of Richmond."

We were running to the bathroom so my 5 year old could go really quick after mass. She was about to pee her pants.
Boomer woman stops me and says, “Actually, I will be going first. That’s why I’m bee-lining to the bathroom.” The look I gave her as she SLOWLY “bee-lined” to the bathroom could’ve burned the whole place down.
You can’t despise them enough. Self serving, wicked, hedonistic generation.

This got awkward FAST… ⚖️
During a remote court hearing, an IT technician tried to fix an audio issue and casually joked it was a “false alarm.” But the judge didn’t take it lightly at all—he immediately asked to speak to the technician’s supervisor.
What seemed like a small comment quickly turned into a tense moment in court.
Do you think the judge overreacted, or should professionalism be taken that seriously in a setting like this?

@Sarhbear90 @rmlover31 @CoachMullinsPhD Nah I didn’t ignore it. I was pointing out your acknowledgment that practice has a scheduled end time. If there’s an emergency, assistant coach takes over. Are you talking T ball or something?
English

@rmvixx @rmlover31 @CoachMullinsPhD Did you ignore my "practice ends early for many different reasons".... looks like it. But thats okay. Obviously Im stating that ending early is out of parenrs control, but also having someone available is in their control.

@Sarhbear90 @rmlover31 @CoachMullinsPhD Your key to this - “At the time”. Practice is scheduled for a reason.
English

@rmlover31 @CoachMullinsPhD If you know you cant pick up your kid at the time then find someone else to pick up.
Practices end early for MANY different reasons and having your kid on a team means being available or someone else available for them.

@ThoughtCrimes80 Wondering when those caterpillars were going to crawl off her face

@MurrayHillGuy1 Mids getting any of their over producing talent lured away to the big boys. Used to be a mid with 4 or 5 seniors with chemistry could knock out a blue blood. Also the 7th place team from a p4 keeping out a decent mid that doesn’t auto qualify.
