@shebringsjoy @ashton_couch344 With a straight face they tell you to watch more television.
English

@ashton_couch344 Yes.
Lots of comments about television, birth control.
English

I’m so starting The Passion Translation Lutheran Church. No, we won’t use that silly work, but it’ll throw everybody off.
Josh Barzon@JoshuaBarzon
Just a reminder that this church exists 😂
English

@PopePiusIXStan None of those things is true about the New Testament.
English

He’s knows you can say the same things about the New Testament…right?
Josh Barzon@JoshuaBarzon
Very good points here. I love and respect many of the early church fathers. But their teachings and writings must always be viewed as below scripture. Not equal with it.
English

@Dom1968Juan @RedNation1492 Of course the appointed king is God Himself. Israel rejected God as their king in favor of a man. God retook the human kingship from the inside.
English

@eri89494 The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing of the blood of Christ?
The bread which we break, is it not a sharing of the body of Christ?
You empty the blood of Christ, with the New Covenant Christ instituted, completely out of it.
English

@roarofthefour Paul gave Christ’s example to the Corinthians. Christ gave of himself even with the one who betrayed him. Read the entire chapter.
1 Corinthians 11:33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
This was Paul’s whole point.
English

@AustinFarle @HollandGreig Yes, that is LDS doctrine, I have just learned). The widow can marry another man for time, while sealed for eternity to her late husband.
English

@roarofthefour @HollandGreig Because a sealing is not regulated by law.
English

Part of the “Restoration of the Gospel” was Joseph Smith being a polygamist (with 30-50 wives) and convincing other dudes to be polygamists… even though “it was not easy” 😂 as if they’re heroes for this? 🤣
The screenshots are from their own website lol
Mormonism is a cult

LEGO Joseph Smith@Mormonger
@HollandGreig I will debate you on any gospel-related topic
English

@eri89494 The Church partakes of the New Covenant in the cup.
English

@roarofthefour Hebrews 8:8 (KJV) For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
-the NC was never promised to the church.
English

The Book of Hebrews is a wonderful book full of the truth of God.
However, it was not written to the body of Christ in the dispensation of grace.
It was written to the nation of Israel.

@eri89494 Ephesians 3. "...fellow heirs, one body, fellow partakers of his promise in Christ Jesus through the Gospel "
"...now revealed through his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit"
Not one apostle only, plural apostles.
English

@AustinFarle @HollandGreig How could she be sealed to one man and lawfully marry another?
English

@roarofthefour @HollandGreig "She is no longer sealed to her late husband"
Where do you get that idea from? We certainly don't teach that in our doctrine, so what other sealing are you talking about?
English

@AustinFarle @HollandGreig which Jesus says does not happen in the afterlife.
If you try to say, she remains sealed to him during her life while he is dead: Paul in 1 Tim 5 encourages them to get married. But if she remarries, she is no longer sealed to her late husband. /2-end
English

@AustinFarle @HollandGreig Remember that a widow is free to remarry, as the verses from Romans, 1 Cor, and 1 Tim say.
She is not still married to her late husband. Therefore, if she died, the only way she could attain a state of marriage to him in the afterlife would be to marry him /1
English

@AustinFarle @HollandGreig Girls who were under the authority of their father "were given in marriage"; everyone else "married". Other than that, I don't have anything to say about those words.
English

@roarofthefour @HollandGreig Ok. And what do the verbs "marry" and "given in marriage" mean according to the English dictionary?
English

@eri89494 @DavidWilberBlog To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law." /5-end (prev. "/3" should be "/4"
English

@eri89494 @DavidWilberBlog but that does not mean we are to be lawless. See 1 Cor 9:20-21, "And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; /3
English

James tells his readers to be “doers of the word,” equating this with hearing and obeying the perfect law of liberty (James 1:22, 25). This “perfect law of liberty” clearly refers to the Law of Moses, which was read in the synagogues every Sabbath (Acts 15:21), the very place where James’s original readers were meeting: “For if someone comes into your assembly [συναγωγή, synagogue]” (James 2:2). James’s exhortation to be doers of the word/Law is an exhortation to obey the Law of Moses.
