A quite number of people talking about AI in Web3 are focused on outputs. AI agents. AI automation. AI-generated execution. But almost nobody is talking about the infrastructure those systems actually need to function intelligently onchain. That’s the layer @NomismaNetwork is starting to explore. And I really think the market is still massively underestimating how important this becomes once AI systems scale. Here’s the problem: Traditional blockchains were designed primarily for transactions and immutable storage. Great for: • payments • transfers • settlement But AI systems require something completely different. They need: • structured memory • searchable context • relational data models • real-time querying • persistent state awareness Without those things, AI agents remain shallow. They can execute instructions but they struggle with context, continuity, and intelligent coordination over time. This is why relational architecture matters so much. Instead of treating data like isolated blocks sitting in storage, relational systems organize information into interconnected structures that can actually be queried and interpreted efficiently. That changes what becomes possible onchain. Because once AI systems can: • retrieve contextual information dynamically • understand relationships between datasets • maintain persistent memory states • coordinate across structured environments you move from simple automation toward actual AI-native infrastructure. And that distinction is huge. Most of the market is still building: “AI tools on blockchain.” But I think the deeper opportunity lies in building: “blockchain infrastructure designed for AI systems.” That’s a completely different layer. And it’s one of the reasons @Chromia 's relational philosophy feels increasingly relevant as AI narratives evolve. Honestly, this is why @NomismaNetwork keeps catching my attention. Not because it’s chasing hype… but because it appears to be thinking about the underlying architecture required for autonomous intelligence to operate at scale.
