@rob_keyes I wasn't referring to fans not showing up at SDCC, I meant not showing up once these movies and shows actually hit. Was referring to the underperformance of "fandom"-driven movies at box office in recent years.

Publicity and marketing budgets slashed, eye-watering expensive to fly out and put up dozens of A-list talent, and fandoms just aren’t turning up as they did in the heyday of this stuff no matter what they do at SDCC. It’s an existential crisis.

I had a great time at #SDCC but the con is in tons of trouble, the program content was weak (the biggest name on a panel on Sunday was Air Bud?) without premium programming from the studios you can’t continue to expect people to pay such high prices to attend the event.

Just seated on plane to fly home from Comic-Con and of all the cool things we saw and did this week, and the wild Hall H panels yesterday, all I can think about is Air Bud coming to our studio, jumping on our coach, taking photos and having a nap as everyone came by to meet him.

It got lost in the shuffle last night, but Jon Bernthal coming on Hall H stage with a clip of Spider-Man: Brand New Day was a cool moment and the sequence was awesome of Frank unleashing on Hulk and teaming with Spidey. Kevin Feige said it's a real honor to have Jon as Frank.

@rob_keyes I didn't even go to Comic-Con, and I woke up from a Comic-Con anxiety dream where I was still in Hall H after everyone left, thinking there was another panel. I watched them breaking the whole thing down, then realized I had lost my phone. Haven't been there in 11 years.

I'm so tired and hungry. At Comic-Con, most days there are no meals. I've not sat down for a proper on since Wednesday. So, it's 2am, I fly back in the morning. Just ordered so much mcdonalds via uber eats. Gonna get wild.
