🚨someone at @comma_ai accidentally leaked the entire openpilot code and models and out it on github

@JustusRwrt some great progress from other people on the comma discord. iirc they got it working pretty reliably with a raspberry pico instead of an fpga!
English

@robbederks can't wait for opus 4.6 to one-shot a openpilot+Flexray integration. What's the current state of that anyway?
English

@robbederks hi robbe
grok spat out "My guess: it’s a small spring-loaded 4-wire Kelvin probe head (or a miniature Kelvin contact assembly / test fixture)."
what is it actually?

@LamarDealMaker yes, 3X should be in a museum bro, it’s beautiful and so clean
English

@Matt_Felgate @adeebshihadeh @IanKillian @comma_ai @directioncosine I'm not too involved with this so don't have too many details, but iirc we had to use finer paste and a different jetting nozzle to get that to work, but that would be too slow to do bigger components then. We're just flux dipping them now without paste, and that is reliable
English

@robbederks @adeebshihadeh @IanKillian @comma_ai @directioncosine MY700 should easily be able to do .35mm BGA if you adjust the paste deposits.
Also have you checked the re-flow oven profile?
Are you doing Flying Probe testing on the finished boards or just functional testing?
English

@robbederks @Matt_Felgate @adeebshihadeh @comma_ai @directioncosine What pick and place are y’all getting?
English

@Matt_Felgate @adeebshihadeh @IanKillian @comma_ai @directioncosine We have 3 3Xs on one panel. Our current MY700 jetter can just about keep up with the PnP, but we're getting a significantly faster one of those as well. Also not jetting the 0.35mm pitch BGAs at the moment, wasn't easy to get consistsent enough
English

@adeebshihadeh @IanKillian @robbederks @comma_ai @directioncosine How are you panelizing your boards?
Jet printing should be fast enough (and more reliable), depending on your pick-and-place and oven speed.
English

@IanKillian @Matt_Felgate @comma_ai @directioncosine This + can do smaller pitch BGA without having to mess with it too much
English

@Matt_Felgate @comma_ai @directioncosine Stencil printers are faster than jet printers, if you are running thousands of the same board, stencil smokes jet printer on speed. Also stencils are cheap if you are running the same board, only $400-$500 a stencil typically.
