@AirwingMarine It’s not just the engine room, it’s the random head eyes at any point in the map. You have to play it perfectly and fast to do the storyline and it’s still all RNG…

@AirwingMarine As a casual player (with kappa), I’m stuck on Terminal and I’ve ran Icebreaker over 40+ times and still haven’t not been able to get to the captains deck to complete the storyline….

If a player can't complete icebreaker in 4 tries, that means the content is too hard and is only designed for streamers... These are the kinds of gamers I hope BSG never listens too....
Double6D@Double6D_VT

@AirwingMarine @MistakenFloda I burnt out after my fourth run and after god knows how many runs now it’s just affirming the regret of supporting a dev before they presented a finished product. They can patch icebreaker daily but haven’t fixed other msq bugs or the audio issues.

How many non-streamers have actually completed Terminal and escaped from Tarkov @nikgeneburn

@nikgeneburn Dont listen to streamers and hear what the community wants. Do a ingame poll and let the casuals decide.

@nikgeneburn da - or find a way to make it easier for just the casual players… As a casual player at some point I should be able to complete the storyline. Not die 100+ times to one shot and RNG.

@VeryBadSCAVR I think it may be 4-5 cause I killed 4 but I’m pretty sure I still heard one in a room I didn’t clear.

For solos, has been lowered from 6 to 5.

@nikgeneburn Did you lower BD on level 7 after Wedge boss? As solo I still have not been able to make it past this part. Probably skill issue but still 30+ runs and still haven’t got to the captains deck.

Feature toggle and feature flag are the same thing. Toggle = Fowler's 2010 term. Flag = North American engineering. Gate = Meta/Airbnb. Switch = legacy enterprise codebases. Same concept. Different dialects. signakit.com/resources/glos…

5 rules that cover 80% of feature flag mistakes: → Name every flag with a type prefix (exp_, rel_, ops_, perm_) → Every flag needs an owner and cleanup date before it goes live → Use opaque user IDs — never raw emails → Quarterly audit: any exp_ flag older than 90 days is stale → Treat your SDK key as a server-side secret Full checklist: signakit.com/resources/guid…

@wesbos Could be for AB testing. They need time to load the variant and rather show a loading screen than a flash of the original content.

Yikes. Rogers, the biggest telecom on Canada, has a TEN SECOND setTimeout to show a loading screen when visiting any page on their site. The site loads much faster, but they jack the screen for 10s. How does this get approved?

A feature flag is a runtime switch that controls whether a feature is visible — without touching your deployment pipeline. No redeploy. No rollback. No 2am incident. We wrote the complete guide to how they work. signakit.com/resources/glos…

Your .env file is not a feature flag system. ENABLE_NEW_CHECKOUT=true looks harmless with 2 variables. At 20, you'll have a production incident that requires a full deploy to fix something that should take 10 seconds. The rule: if you'd ever want to change it without a redeploy — it's a flag. signakit.com/blog/feature-f…
