I am just a voter looking for the truth. Nigel told Beth Rigby the £5 million was for security, then when asked why he did not declare it he said it was a gift. Beth then said the rules say even if it is a gift, if in doubt declare it anyway. Nigel replied he knew that and he was not in doubt so he did not declare it. But then in the Harry Cole interview he said it was not a gift, it was a reward for 27 years of Brexit campaigning and delivering. So my question is simple, if you are changing what the money was for, from security, to gift, to reward, then surely that shows doubt. And if there is doubt, the rules say declare it. I am not the Commissioner, but even a child could work that one out. This is not hard to investigate because the evidence is coming from the person under investigation. What you say matters, and I really cannot see how the Commissioner can come to any other conclusion.

🚨 China just announced — on Saturday, after Trump’s Beijing summit — that it will reduce tariffs on American farm products. This is being framed as a Trump trade win. Here is the part that framing leaves out. US farm exports to China collapsed 65.7% last year. They fell to $8.4 billion. China had been one of the top three buyers of American crops. Trump’s tariffs closed that market. China retaliated with its own tariffs. American farmers lost a year of sales while Brazil and Argentina took the business. Brazil’s soybean exports to China hit a record 85 million metric tons in 2025. Today’s “win” is China agreeing to partly reopen the door the US closed.

Trump has destroyed America’s image as the protector of freedom and the leader that other democracies can count on. Now, he sings the same refrain with Xi, that he sings with Putin. Trump brags that we are just as underhanded with spying and dirty tricks as they are. He uses it as an excuse to allow him to befriend and put us on the same level as the worst dictators. This is the despicable destroyer that we allowed into the White House. He advertises shamelessly that he is as corrupt as our enemies and is open for any kind of dirty business they want. Generations before us are ashamed at what we allowed to happen.

Unbelievable. A reporter asks about Chinese cyber attacks on the United States — and Trump’s first instinct isn’t outrage. It’s to defend Beijing and casually brag about spying too. No warning. No condemnation. No “we will protect Americans.” Just another rambling attempt to normalize attacks from a hostile regime. This is what “America First” has become under Trump: America gets hacked. But the ITV “Celeb” fee was £1.5m, which would be £825,000 after tax, for a top-rate taxpayer like Farage. That’s £575,000 less than the price of the house. And even if the fee was paid into his “Thorn in the side” media company rather than directly to him, it would still be taxable, one way or another
