Met Police chief Sir Mark Rowley claims shoplifters are walking free because storekeepers are “refusing” to hand over CCTV footage.
Despite the retail crime explosion, the Met is pointing the finger at shops instead of fixing its own failures.
Retailers have insisted that this is a complete lie!
Critics have slammed the excuse: “Why would shopkeepers withhold video footage? Don’t believe it! Excuses.”
Another added: “Just like this corrupt, incompetent government, it’s never the police failings, always someone else to blame, they treat us as fools.”
And: “The MET lying through their teeth as usual?”
Retail theft has surged to record levels with gangs hitting the same stores day after day.
Shoplifting is now effectively decriminalised in many areas, police don’t turn up and courts barely punish.
Hard-working shop owners are left picking up the pieces while the Met makes excuses.
Taxpayers are furious.
When will police actually take retail crime seriously?

You left after a 19 seconds photo op and then attended a party later that day.
We won’t forget you shameless fraud.

The brutal, senseless murders of Bebe, Elsie and Alice marked one of the darkest moments in our country’s history. The report today is truly harrowing and profoundly disturbing. It sets out systematic failures that led to this terrible event. I’ve been overwhelmed by the bravery and determination of their families and while nothing will ever bring these three little girls back, I’m determined to make the fundamental changes needed to keep the public safe. I will do everything I can to honour the memory of Bebe, Elsie, and Alice.

For too long, our country has been exposed to global shocks - and households and businesses have paid the price.
We will learn the lessons of the past, and build a Britain that is stronger and more resilient.

Hi Darren,
I’m not “banging on”.
I’m from a town where more girls were abused by Pakistani-Muslim rape gangs than anywhere else in the country.
I was sexually abused by different men from the age of five.
I grew up knowing which takeaways raped little girls. Which taxi companies changed their names whenever they had a ‘scandal’. Which estates to avoid walking through alone.
I saw countless little girls like me being abandoned by society. Turning to drugs and alcohol and crime to numb the pain of the trauma they experienced.
I experienced the industrial failure of victims by powerful people and organisations.
I was asked by a detective from Operation Chalice if I “consented to sexual activity” at any point.
I was told by my social worker that “my actions led me to where I was.”
I’ve heard the horror stories that mirror my own from women 10, 20, 30, and even 40 years older than me.
And I’m seeing those exact same stories being repeated with little girls today.
So no, I’m not “banging on”.
The majority of sex crimes are committed by white men because we are a majority white nation.
But the sex crimes committed by migrants per capita is staggeringly high. Far higher than white men.
We are facing a migrant rape epidemic.
You, Darren, have the privilege of being able to sneer from your moral pedestal. Because you will NEVER experience what I did. Or what the millions of little girls like me are experiencing right now.
You will never understand what it feels like.
I will continue speaking out.
I will continue exposing the truth.
I will continue protecting victims.
I will continue “banging on.”
And I will not be silenced or shamed by the likes of you, Darren.

@NakedScaper @SamanthaTaghoy Rape is rape no matter the colour of the rapist. However when there has been a national scandal due to cover ups and failures to act then it does need 'banging out'. Maybe you should target and highlight the white rapists and any gangs to ensure all rapists are exposed?

@SamanthaTaghoy We have reached the time where these people need to be arrested and taken to Palestine where they can help those people they protest via threats and fear for

@TheNorfolkLion I know sometimes Police officers dont do themselves any favours but you have to feel for them at theoment as this shit like this is a daily occurrence countrywide performed by feral kids. Yet the government seem to sit back and let it happen. I now do not go into city centres

@RichardTomo5 @RachelReevesMP Serious question.....Is it possible for a country to become bankrupt?
Any small medium or large business operating like Labour are would surely be out of business in a matter of weeks or am I just not seeing something?
English

The UK is heading towards a 38% tax burden - the highest in modern history.
Why?
Because welfare keeps rising and Labour refuses to control it.
More spending. More taxes. Slower growth.
A vicious cycle created by @RachelReevesMP

@ArchRose90 But Chris this is the diversity thats making us stronger.....apparently 🙄
