Lp(a) is now considered a very important driver of cardiovascular disease. We are told it is genetic and that a “healthy diet” can’t affect it! However several studies, including this randomized controlled trial, show that decreasing carbs and increasing saturated fat can in fact drive down Lp(a) sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

BREAKING: Prosecutor Trump installed to go after his critics now facing possible disbarment The legal walls may finally be closing in on one of Donald Trump’s most controversial prosecutors. According to a report from The New York Times, Lindsey Halligan — a Trump-appointed Justice Department lawyer who pursued criminal cases against some of Trump’s most prominent political critics — is now under investigation by the Florida Bar for potential misconduct. Yes, the very prosecutor who was brought in to go after Trump’s perceived enemies is now facing serious scrutiny herself. Halligan served as interim U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia after being installed by Trump to pursue cases against high-profile targets, including former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James — both longtime Trump critics. But the entire situation quickly unraveled. A federal judge later ruled that Halligan had not even been lawfully appointed to the position in the first place. Soon after, the cases she had filed were dismissed outright, and Halligan stepped down from her role in January. Now the fallout is escalating. The Florida Bar has confirmed it already has an active investigation pending into Halligan’s conduct, according to a letter sent to a watchdog group that filed complaints over her actions. Those complaints reportedly cite multiple instances where judges reprimanded Halligan for pushing legal boundaries and potentially misleading the courts. And the consequences could be severe. If the investigation finds wrongdoing, Halligan could ultimately face professional discipline — even disbarment. The situation is also shining a harsh spotlight on the broader culture inside Trump’s Justice Department, where critics say political loyalty often mattered more than legal ethics. Legal experts say the investigation could serve as a warning to other attorneys considering joining the administration. Because when prosecutors start bending the law to serve politics, accountability eventually catches up. And now, one of Trump’s handpicked legal warriors may be learning that lesson the hard way. THE NUCLEAR OPTION? I am not naturally comfortable asking people for anything. In my normal life, I don’t. For the #PeanutProject, I’ve had to come out of my shell — and then some. Many of you have offered to help: legal, sales, stadium security, head of @Montreal_Expos baseball ops, club president, and more. Some of it premature, some of it very thoughtful. Let me be clear: If I haven’t immediately mobilized you, it’s not because I don’t welcome the support (hence the Form to safeguard your interest and contact info, which I will relink in the Replies below). It’s because I’m not comfortable having anyone work pro bono. One reason I re-sequenced the project to start with 4C was strong investor interest — investors prepared to fund 100% of the stadium and infrastructure, but only ~30% of the franchise (which is expansion-only in 2028). The other reason — candidly — is compensation & fairness. There are so-called "chasing fees" much of which I have avoided by leveraging my own skills. If roles are required and services (eg. stadium mockups) deserve compensation, I would never ask for free services, but it's also proper for the proper entities, bank accounts, and capital stack be in place. Picking up a restaurant tab is one thing. Paying application fees and retaining professionals must come from the right vehicle. I’ve always been transparent and disciplined about this. I don’t exploit ambiguity. The MLB Opening Day deadline for private equity Indications of Interest should give you a sense of the roadmap. NOW, onto the NUCLEAR NEWS: Some of you may recall the American in the post below. After several conversations, introductions to investors in his network, and mainly, him representing the Peanut Project to the Commissioner, I felt it was time to ask him what he had in mind commercially. Some people volunteer terms. Others require the question. I expected a retainer discussion (which is fine). Instead, he said: “I’m advising 'VANDALAY & ASSOCIATES.' They’ve asked me to bring them large, global opportunities. If you’re open to it, I’d like to set up a meeting.” Now — there are top-tier institutions everyone knows: @Citi , @GoldmanSachs, @MorganStanley. And then there are smaller, highly discreet, globally influential groups with reach that doesn’t show up in headlines. "VANDALAY & Associates" falls into that second category. We’re meeting in NYC next week. If they lean in and seek a mandate — to advise, invest, or bring global family offices, sovereign funds, and HNWIs — the capital stack could be wrapped far sooner than anticipated. To be clear, the process is open, fair, transparent so any and all advisory groups should submit their proposals by MLB opening day (in parallel to the initial PE funds who indicated their interest to invest in the infrastructure & stadium). I’m staying composed. Patient. Disciplined. But if this lands? It would be… "consequential." Game changing. I don't like hyperbole, but it would be akin to a NUCLEAR STRIKE. I may not say much immediately after my meeting (out of respect for the Process and to let other competing groups submit their proposals)... but... I will have earned to become your latex salesman.

IF (and it’s a huge IF: many balls still need to bounce our way) the @Montreal_Expos ever return, there will be a plaque - a beautiful plaque - at the main entrance of the new stadium. That plaque will tell the story of an American executive who: 1) replied to a cold outreach from someone with no formal standing in MLB circles, no obvious means to pull this off alone, 2) took the time to listen, read the exec summary, and vet me before judging, 3) once he was reassured, spoke to @MLB on behalf of our beautiful city, this project and this one guy with a funny sounding name when he *didn’t have to*, 4) debriefed me on the league’s realities, and in that debrief, 5) helped turn what could’ve been a missed connection with an ideal anchor investor (whom I have previously reached out to over the holiday blitzkrieg reach out, and could now use said intelligence to do another "sortie" to hit the target) into a bona fide clear path to turning this concept into reality. Mes amis, if Montreal ever gets Nos Amours back, I will ensure that every Montrealer will know his name. Some outcomes only happen because someone chooses to be helpful. #PeanutProject
