I've written directly to the commissioner in charge of the public inquiry into foreign interference to include an examination of India's foreign interference in Canada in the work of the inquiry. I will do everything in my power to ensure the safety of all Canadians.

The House came back today – and later this week, we’re going to introduce legislation to remove the federal GST on the construction of new apartment buildings. As work resumes in Parliament, we’ll stay focused on driving down the cost of housing and making life more affordable.

We’re focused on driving down the cost of housing and increasing the number of rental homes available to Canadians – particularly students, seniors, and young families. To help do that, we’re removing the GST on the construction of new apartment buildings.

The Alberta Electric System Operator has issued a Level 3 power alert for Alberta. Our system is currently under intense strain due to the heat combined with very little wind to generate power. We are relying almost entirely on natural gas supplemented with solar to power our grid at this time as the inter-tie with BC is being repaired. The AESO is asking people to reduce their electricity usage to balance out the system reliability and prevent more serious emergency measures. It is critical that Alberta add more base-load power from natural gas and other sources to our electricity grid to protect the reliability and affordability of power for Albertans.

Spent some time today with everyone at @SpringridgeFarm. We spoke about how quickly summer has come and gone, about how excited the kids are for school, and about what we’re doing to make life more affordable for them – and for families across the country. Good to see all of you!

No surprise to see Trudeau Liberals crashing. Canadians are moderate. The Trudeau Liberals have become extremist. They push policies that are extreme on crime, race & gender, free speech, energy & climate, drug addiction & government spending. They've lost their balance.

Scenes after the riot. The riot was between a pro-government Eritrean group against an anti-government Eritrean group. 🇪🇷 Per Rod Maldaner, the riot act was read twice during this situation. The last time the riot act was read in Edmonton was 1999 during the Canada Day riots 😳 #YEGWAVE

Glad to conclude my week in Alberta with a conversation with Premier @ABDanielleSmith. We discussed the wildfires and what I heard from evacuees from the NWT in Peace River. I reiterated that the federal government is here to help.
