I lived this sort of sect of Protestantism. Not as chaotic as this though.
It gets the youth a lot. It's fun. It creates a joy around Christ. People that are lost or seeing the darkness of the world cling to things that produce positive emotional responses.
The lights, the concert atmosphere, the singing and lyrics, the prayer, the sermon that sort of hits you as though the pastor was answering your questions or problems, the togetherness in the concert hall atmosphere. Speaking Christ's name aloud.
The young women will throw their hands up and sway, sing the lyrics, and their boyfriends will sort of begrudgingly sway with them thinking, "Hey you know at least she's really loving Christ right now."
Then on your way out you throw the jelly cup communion in the trash and walk outside. You're still riding that sort of feel good high. But each step you take to your car it fades away. Then you get in your car, race out of the parking lot before the 800 other people, and feel....empty.
Is this it? Is this true devotion to Christ? Is this the true worship of Christ? This is what God wants us to do every Sunday? You don't understand why you have feelings of doubt in your walk with Christ.
In reality, being a Christian is extremely difficult. It's called the narrow path, a race, to be lived out in fear and trembling, obedience, and humility. To sacrifice like Christ and repent of your sins. To be a disciple of Christ.
That struggle and sacrifice will never be fulfilled in the surface level antics. There's a reason the sacraments were instituted by Christ. Why he wants us to be baptized into the body of Christ. To confess our sins and repent of them. To live either a consecrated life or marry in his name and a covenant representative of Christ and his church. To partake of the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ. Holy oil to anoint those entering into the Church, and those who may be departing entering in the Church in heaven.
The Catholic Church offers true devotion to our Lord. Reverence. A collective body of faith of 2,000 years in Heaven and on Earth.
This video and the church below may make you feel better temporarily, but it fulfills almost nothing for your faith.

Thank GOD I’m Catholic🇻🇦

@LukeDashjr @realDaveReilly Don’t think you fasted if you were drinking Dr Pepper. metabolically at least, not sure about spiritually..
English

@realDaveReilly I actually intentionally waited until _after_ Lent to quit Dr Pepper. The fasting would have been impossible without it.

@bajadobe How much do you pay for palm leaves? In El Salvador they’re 50c each

@LukeDashjr @dragodimitrov How can you summarise your view of Catholicism given your belief that the current Pope is fraudulent?
English

@dragodimitrov Protestantism should not be taken seriously. That's false ecumenism. They need to convert to Catholicism. That's non-negotiable. If they're not open to doing so, there's nothing to talk about.
English

If Protestants want Catholics to take them seriously, they need to acknowledge:
- Catholics love and worship Jesus as Lord and Savior
- Catholics revere Scripture as the inerrant word of God
- Catholics believe salvation is impossible apart from the grace of God
- Catholics do not think they can earn heaven apart from Christ
- Catholics do not see the Pope, Mary, or priests as a replacement for Jesus
Deal?

AI isn't coming for jobs. It already did. Let me break it down for you.
> 100,000+ AI-driven layoffs in 2025
> 31,000+ already in just Q1 2026
> 45+ CEOs explicitly cited AI in layoff announcements
And not just tech, you got finance, logistics, consulting, media, retail, manufacturing…
The Paycom one story is wild because they automated their own HR software, then laid off the people who used to do that work manually. The tool replaced the team!!!
Here's what I got for you👇

@HodlMasterChief @denverbitcoin that would be counting, not guessing

Or if AirPods means you call your friends and family more often, will have 10x health benefit than whatever harm they may cause
Mark_Sisson@Mark_Sisson
Stop living in fear. If the AirPods allow you to take meetings while walking in nature, you're way better off than the guy who insists on taking calls with wired headsets hooked up to his foil-wrapped phone hardwired with ethernet

@holisticgrenade @ForbiddenHealth what say you of this trifle ?

I think this is a fun flag to plant on X, tbh
Chesterton remarked while comparing religious attitudes that in the east, their statues of religious, Buddhas and such, tend to have their eyes closed, looking "inward"
Whereas, in the Catholic Church, Saints are typically depicted with their eyes wide open, looking OUT
