After working with many @Shopify brands going global, I noticed a pattern among the ones that actually build traction in new markets. most go straight to ads, but the ones that make it work tend to do one thing differently. They show up physically first Not a permanent store. A popup store. A temporary space in a relevant city that forces you to be in the market, not just sell into it. -> you learn how people actually behave, not how your analytics says they do  -> you build local brand memory before you buy local traffic I suppose there is no better way to understand a market than being in it xd

I will never understand how the Shopify app's relevance score works. I am sure there is a bug, but I can't prove it 😅 The app is basically a "combined listings" app. It is specified in name, in description, basically everywhere, but Shopify ads algorithm says it is not a relevant keyword 😅 This makes it inefficient to run ads in this case.

@robertosenabre Yes, if there is a bug in the relevance calculation, it will cause many companies to burn an unfair amount of money.

Didn't see this one coming @albertogcatalan and I document everything because we're absolute freaks about it haha and we've been remote and async from day one, so we had no choice But it turns out that's been one of the best decisions we've made as a company xd now with LLMs… god, it's paying off like crazy
