This is a nice tribute. Am unable to find the right words myself. A fear that these people I marvelled at as a kid were only just a bit older than me and can go. My teenage love for The Smiths has already been shaken by what happened in later life to you know who. It was restored and changed by meeting Johnny Marr and seeing him live. And is not just saddened by Andy Rourke’s passing but a bit shocked. I spent a couple of hours listening to Smiths songs again today just to pick out the bass lines and appreciate them. He was so good.
