Briefed on the progress of the Government's Nyota Programme business support component, State House Nairobi, ahead of the launch of the second disbursement on Friday With the launch of the KSh3 billion second tranche of the business support component for the 122,000 beneficiaries, each beneficiary will receive KSh25,000. In addition to a similar amount they had received earlier in the year, each beneficiary will have received a total of KSh50,000. Already, the beneficiaries have undergone a business development skills programme. On Friday, the launch will take place in 18 venues across the country, bringing together all the beneficiaries from the 47 counties.

ABSORPTION OF UNIVERSAL HEALTH COVERAGE (UHC) STAFF. The Government reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the seamless absorption of all Universal Health Coverage (UHC) workers into County Government payrolls on permanent and pensionable terms, effective 1st July 2026. This transition reflects the Government's commitment to strengthening Kenya's healthcare workforce while ensuring job security, stability, and uninterrupted service delivery across all counties. The extension of UHC workers' contracts up to 30th June 2026 by the Public Service Commission ensured continuity of service as the necessary administrative and financial arrangements were being finalized. The Government remains fully committed to working closely with County Governments and all health sector stakeholders to ensure a smooth, transparent, and successful transition for every UHC worker.

Narok County remains a steadfast UDA stronghold, consistently demonstrating unwavering commitment to the Party’s ideals and its transformation agenda. Elected Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), alongside grassroots leaders led by the Majority Leader, Dominic Sonkoi Lemein, held a consultative meeting with UDA Secretary General, Sen. Hassan Omar Hassan. The meeting focused on strengthening Party structures following the successful election of twenty (20) officials across all polling centres in Narok County. Discussions also centered on enhancing grassroots mobilization, accelerating membership recruitment and retention, and deepening the Party’s presence across the county.
