@BBCNews Well, we’re glad for you. I personally haven’t got on a bus for 20 years, and I’m a working person. How can I save £500 a year?

LAURA LOOMER: “I’m getting really tired of seeing American influencers—people like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Nick Fuentes, and members of the woke right—claiming that russia is the bastion of freedom, the bastion of faith, and the ideal state for Christianity. Because you’re not going to look me in the eye and tell me with a straight face that you’re preserving Christianity by launching a drone strike on the oldest monastery in Ukraine and quite literally trying to blow Jesus Christ up with a Shahed drone.”

Harvest 26’ done. Worst one in my 40 years of running the farm. Yields of spring sown crops have been laughable at around 4t/Ha ..half 5 yr average 🥲 As for maize well 🤦🏼♂️ Wheat has been a saviour might have done 8t/Ha My final one hopefully, don’t know if I’m sad or delighted.

It's insane to me that leftists are celebrating Mamdani's statement. He's a coward and a liar.

I disagree with @LauraLoomer on 1,000 things, but I admire her willingness to rethink Ukraine and go there. One of the things we pundits aren't good at is admitting when we're wrong--let alone seeking out information that contradicts our priors. She has courage to do just that.

A smaller piece of every US Dollar earned in the economy is going to workers: The proportion of wages and salaries in US gross domestic income (GDI) is down to ~43%, near the lowest since records began in 1929. Gross domestic income measures the total income earned across the economy, including wages, corporate profits, and investment income. This metric has been in a long-term decline since peaking at ~52% in the 1940s. By comparison, between the 1940s and the 1960s, this percentage never fell below 48%. In other words, a larger proportion of economic income is now flowing to corporate profits and investment income, rather than pay workers. The gap between corporate profits and labor income keeps widening.

Benjamin Netanyahu is a war criminal.

🚨 The Hillsborough Law has passed the Commons. MPs unanimously backed the Public Office (Accountability) Bill at its third reading — creating a legal duty of candour for public officials and authorities during inquiries and investigations. It's taken since 2017, when the bill was first drafted by lawyers who represented Hillsborough families, to get here. The road included a stalled January debate over how the law would apply to the security services, before an amended version cleared the Commons this month. The bill now heads to the House of Lords, then Royal Assent — with hopes it could become law ahead of the disaster's 38th anniversary next April. A long-fought win for the 97, and for every family failed by institutional cover-ups since. 🔗 Read more: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… 🗣️ See Ian Byrne MP's post: x.com/IanByrneMP/sta… 📖 Background on the law: huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/what-is-…

This document should keep you awake at night. The govt’s National Risk Register now ranks losing our drinking water alongside a PANDEMIC as one of the two biggest threats facing the country This year, in the right-hand document: The chances of “Catastrophic impact” on our drinking water supplies - up to a one in four chance. Last year, same document (on the left) rated it a minor risk. Bottom of the chart. So what changed? Nothing changed! Water is still in private hands and depute the Water Special Measures Act deteriorating rapidly. This is where 36 years of privatised water has brought us. Tens of billions handed to shareholders. Over £60 billion of debt racked up on water assets that should belong to al of us. Leaking pipes. No new major reservoirs. Sewage in our rivers, on our beaches, in our sea. They didn’t invest. They extracted. And now the state’s own risk experts are telling us the tap water could go. And the regulators? They watched. Fines for pollution became a business expense. Thames Water’s creditors are now asking for their pollution fines to be written off. You couldn’t make this stuff up!!!! So let’s cut the crap about ‘tougher control’ of water companies. We’ve tried that for 36 years. It ended with drinking water on the national risk register next to a pandemic. You can’t regulate a cash machine into caring about you. There’s one answer. Bring water back into mutualised public ownership. Run for people, not profit. Answerable to bill payers, not bondholders. Every single pound going back into the pipes and reservoirs we should have built decades ago. Water is life. And yet we’ve watched it turned it into a payday. Time to take it back.
