@yishan I’d add mental health deterioration and substance abuse from it haven’t helped either.

Again, I will state that covid is the primary cause of our current economic malaise. People create value. Remove people from the economy, you get less value => inflation, supply chain disruption, ripple effects. Wear a mask, save the economy.

One of the many moments that turned the tide for the #Bills was a 32 yard catch by Justin Jefferson on 4th and 18. Cam Lewis originally had the ball in his hands, but Jefferson took it away. "I just got to knock the f*cking ball down."

Seeing quite a few “Dems are on track to hold the House” takes from partisan accounts without any seat-by-seat evidence to back it up. It’s close, but at this writing Dems aren’t hitting the rates they’d need to in the unresolved CA seats to get to 218.

@Redistrict Those “partisan” accounts (@cbouzy and @santiagomayer_ for example) have been right every step of the way with actual data. Meanwhile, you have yet to get ANY pieces of your predictions within a football field of being right.

I don't think there's video evidence to overturn in Buffalo.

@ColdnessThor @keerthanpg No, they don't; but intentions should be taken into account as well. Because good people can make bad mistakes. And then their life will be ruined as "punishment". Perhaps there is some other way? The FTX story turned out awful, but does it mean that SBF is a villain. No.

The FTX/SBF/EA implosion story also puts light on inefficiency/nepotism from mission focused organizations not having boundaries between work/dating/social. This is an extension of EA culture at large and led me to take a break from socializing in EA. keerthanapg.com/random/ea-wome…

@Appyg99 Not just a Desi thing - this is one of the main themes Neitzche wrote about in almost all his works

If I ever have kids, I might have to double down on Desi cultural values & the identity. It seems like every crisis — social, economical & political is all downstream of identity & morality crisis that this generation faces.

1/ all respect to DoorDash drivers and anyone on the grind. I grew up food insecure, child of immigrants. 2/ turns out SF restaurants do this with a lot of people— delivery is big here 3/ I wouldn’t know #2 if it weren’t for this thread so assuming race is it is often wrong

I went to a SF restaurant recently to meet one of the CIO’s of one of the world’s largest endowments for dinner The maitre d literally asked me “DoorDash?” when I walked in 😂 One of the more surreal experiences being an Asian American man lately

Maybe emerging managers first funds outperform all others because they aren’t inundated with unsolicited feedback from other VCs who have no idea what they are doing either.

If you believe San Francisco should build more homes faster, vote yes on D & no on E. If you believe parks should be for people, without cars speeding by, vote yes on J & no on I. If you want a world class public transportation system in San Francisco, vote yes on L.
