I disagree. We don’t need to try and prove how kind and gentle we are. We could have the most perfect, professional conduct and PR and it wouldn’t matter. Communists always lie. We need to roll in with the military and crush these Leftist terrorists. We need to defund and arrest the Leftist terrorist networks funding this chaos. We need to defeat and demoralize them and show the country what justice and rule of law looks like. An overwhelming show of force and a sense of confidence in the justice of our cause will go further to silence the critics than PR.

@StephenM If you changed that final clause to - never drastically reduced the top marginal tax rates, dismantled the New Deal, and abandoned the idea that prosperity should be broadly, even universally, shared - you might be on to something.
