Fairly clear comms from tanker & tank-ees around 200 miles distant at eastern end of track. Conversely, local traffic suffering some RF interference (bet it's my neighbour's flashing LED garden gnomes). Looks like a day of attempting to re-tune things :-/ #airband #avgeek

@thebaldgeek That sounds like a lot of hard work to me for no real advantage 🤷 I like your IR acars guide, words and pics. 👌 I actually blame the fact that I am a "Pre Internet" model (and that makes me sound ancient!).

@rocketron101 Two of us... There are two of us! I have a huge dislike for all YouTube videos. I'd much rather read a long blog than watch a short video any time, any topic. An ACARS YouTube channel is my most requested format... <Bleh>

Military HF frequencies. A long post.... First up. Please know I've been working like crazy to get my C-Band feed back up. I'd love to do a post about it, but no one cares; you all just want data. Just know I'm here, I've been working on ACARS hardware almost daily for the past few months. No ETA, it's a HUGE effort. Ok, that said, I'm here, and DM's are still open. I've moved 1300 miles north, but I've not gone anywhere. To that end, an #avgeek messaged me as he's getting interested in HF voice monitoring again after many years out of the game and has been using my site: tbg.airframes.io/dashboard/hfCP… (yes, @thenewarea51 page) to get back up to speed... But he's noticed that I've been missing some (many) military ACARS messages, so he's given me a few keywords to look for. I've cut some different / test code and attached a screenshot as an example. This msg is not on that page. Ok, it's only a BOMBARDIER in this case, but don't focus on that, focus on the fact that I have been missing quite a few HF voice frequency messages. The current code only filters for the keywords "FACILITY NAME:" and "FACILITY DESIGNATION:" Notice how neither of those is in the screenshot example. Anyway, my point is. The site is only as good as you can explain what you need filtered out. If YOU don't tell me, nothing gets better. Wow, this post feels like a fireside rant.. it's been a while, who remembers those!?!?!!

@thebaldgeek Personally, I prefer reading and viewing images (and following supplied links) for anything involved or detailed. I generally only watch videos to get a feel for a process (how-to type stuff). But that's just me of course!
