My fav model is now Gemini Pro 2.5, but more confused than even by correct way to call Gemini via the API. 1. Google makes two npm packages are almost identical, `google/generative-ai`, and `google/gen-ai`. Seems like gen-ai is the newer one we should use? 2. We can't get gen-ai to work. It fails with a 403 CORS issue whenever we try. If you copy and paste the web quickstart in the docs, it doesn't work either. Has anyone successfully gotten the google/gen-ai to work?

Thursday thoughts: 1. Peter Thiel is trying to create a global currency and overpower governments. 2. He and Musk know that they can't win elections, because they are a tiny minority. 3. They believe they can use technology as an "alternative" to politics. 4. Everyone on the laughable "Crypto4Harris" call last night is a fool, and complicit. 5. Democrats and the public in general need to get educated about what they're dealing with. 6. This effort is part of a historical anarcho-libertarian, tax-revolt minority that has captured the Trump and RFK networks, and is working on capturing Harris, too. 7. There is no workable middle ground, no room for compromise; give no comfort, no quarter, no oxygen, no fuel. Contact your representatives and let them know what's at stake. People are naive about this right now, but this is all anyone is going to be talking about in a few months if we let this fester and continue. Onward!
