Tennessee just became the FIRST state in America to require gun safety courses in ALL public schools — K through 12. 💥Blue states ban guns and push “gun free zones.” Red states like Tennessee teach safety and responsibility. Kids are learning the 4 basic rules: Treat every gun as loaded, never point at anything you don’t want to shoot, finger off the trigger, and know your target & what’s beyond it. Responsible. That level of concentration has surged from just 25% in 1977 to 71% by 1992, and now to an astonishing 85%. Together, these companies operate through dozens of subsidiary businesses, creating a landscape that leaves many of our cattle producers with limited marketing options. For some ranchers this means less marketing opportunities, complicating an already challenging marketplace. Where was 60 Minutes when people like Greg Biffle and Adam Smith flew helicopters into WNC to save trapped families? Where were they when Shawn Hendrix and countless others delivered RVs to those facing winter weather with nowhere to sleep? While Margo, dozens of others, and I gave up everything to put 1000% toward making sure hillbillies had what they needed, where was CBS? I raised money for Haywood County. I raised money for Black Mountain Home for Children. I spent hours on the phone with elected officials, keeping Ted Budd’s team aware of what was happening on the ground. I debunked lies and exposed bad actors. I ran supplies. I handed a microphone to people who lost everything. I posted around the clock about what was needed and where. And I did all of that while in shock and mourning for my mountains. We BEGGED journalists to do their jobs. Instead, they vilified conservative victims.
