I agree with you there but standing up to bullies doesn't mean just make fun of their appearance and call it a day. Newsome (or anyone running for office) should give people a reason to vote for them (e.g. policies and how they'd implement them). I can't speak for everyone but I certainly won't be convinced to vote for anyone just because they threw back some childish insults at their opponents. I'm voting for someone who knows how to lead the country, not someone tweeting insults in their free time (or their staffers tweeting on their behalf).

I don’t really care which political party you support but can we all agree that random jabs like this based on physical appearance and things unrelated to politics is childish, immature, and probably not a good look for someone aspiring to be the President…?

I agree that Gyökeres didn’t look great yesterday. But I disagree with the analyses suggesting that he isn’t good enough. He needs time to adapt to his teammates, and they need time to adapt to him. I accept that “time” is a luxury item our days, but he has played 60 mins….
