These quick thoughts by Michael Jochum on the disturbing reason Trump gets as much support as he does is a must-read 👇 I used to wonder how it was possible that Trump could have won in 2016, and then again in 2024, given how emotionally toxic and depraved he is. I don’t wonder anymore. I think he won for that exact reason. Because he carried at least one broken shard to reflect the broken shards in millions of others. If you’re a racist, you found your guy. If you’re a misogynist, you found your guy. If money is your only religion, you found your guy. If your heart is armored shut, you found your guy. If you mock the disabled, you found your guy. If intelligence makes you insecure, you found your guy. If you’re a sexual predator, you found your guy. If you trade in humiliation and conspiracy and filth, you found your guy. If you’ve never done a single hour of emotional inventory, you found your guy. If you cheat, stiff contractors, bankrupt your obligations, and call it savvy, you found your guy. If you lie as easily as you breathe, you found your guy. If cruelty feels like strength, you found your guy. If white grievance is your comfort food, you found your guy. If your ego is a black hole no title can fill, you found your guy. If warmongering fuels your ego, you found your guy, If empathy feels like weakness and dominance feels like oxygen, you found your guy. If he’d only carried one or two of these pathologies, he might have been dismissed as just another loud, damaged man. But he carried a buffet of them. That was the appeal. Millions could locate themselves somewhere in the wreckage. They didn’t have to agree with all of it. They just had to recognize a piece of themselves in it. It was never really about him. It was about the validation. The absolution. The permission. He didn’t invent the resentment; he amplified it. He didn’t create the cruelty; he normalized it. He gave millions the intoxicating relief of hearing their ugliest impulses echoed back at rally volume. Trump is a symptom. The deeper illness is collective. If there’s one sentence that defines his power, it’s this: “He says the things I’m thinking.” And that’s the part that should chill us. Because what does it say about us that so many were thinking those things? That tens of millions of Americans harbored resentments so deep, so seething, that they were simply waiting for a demagogue to baptize them as virtue? That after decades of supposed progress on race, gender, and equality, so many white men felt so threatened, so displaced, so furious, that cruelty became a political platform? Maybe we were living in a fool’s paradise, mistaking silence for healing, politeness for progress. Now the mask is off. Now we know. And knowing is a far more dangerous place to stand. – Michael Jochum, Not Just a Drummer: Reflections on Art, Politics, Dogs, and the Human Condition.

Our leaders start illegal forever wars; they support a genocide in Gaza; they support the illegal war on Iran and attacks on nuclear facilities; they partner with ISIS leaders in Syria; they toppled the government in Kiev and allied with fascist militias; they roll out the red carpet for the Taliban, etc. But the political-media establishment has convinced the public that diplomacy with Russia is unacceptable, which conflicts with our "values". Indeed, the moral thing for our political-media establishment is to boycott diplomacy and claim weapons are the path to peace while hundreds of thousands of young men perish on the battlefield. We cannot have any discussion or debate because anyone who criticises these policies is smeared, censored, cancelled, and possibly even sanctioned. Ad hominem attacks and intimidation are the new norm; recognising competing security interests of the great powers is a treasonous effort to "legitimise" and support the enemy; negotiations are appeasement; and war has become a virtuous struggle against evil. Has Europe been hijacked by ideological warmongers?

🚨🔥 Behind the scenes of the delay in announcing the Islamabad agreement: Washington does not want Khamenei’s signature… it wants to get to the real head of the regime! My personal analysis of leaks from the US network CBS News reveals that what is happening behind the scenes is far more serious than merely stalled negotiations or a technical delay in announcing the agreement. Whilst the world awaits the moment of signing, reports speak of the complete isolation of the Iranian supreme leadership, to the extent that prominent figures within the regime do not know the Supreme Leader’s whereabouts and have no direct means of communication with him. But the real question is: why is Washington insisting on his appearance right now, specifically? On the surface, it appears that the US objective is to ensure that the Supreme Leader himself approves the draft ‘Islamabad Declaration’ and grants it political legitimacy. In reality, however, the situation looks more like a complex intelligence trap than mere diplomatic arrangements. Washington realises that the moment of signing is the most critical security moment within the Iranian regime, as it is the moment when he is forced to breach layers of isolation and open exceptional channels of communication. This is where the real gamble begins: tracking the signal, monitoring the communication channel, and following the thread that may lead directly to Mojtaba Khamenei. The man is not viewed in the West merely as the Supreme Leader’s son, but as the architect of the deep state and the security mastermind who manages the networks of influence and loyalty within Iran. Reaching him through intelligence means not just knowing a person’s location, but uncovering the hidden structure upon which the entire regime is built. This explains why the announcement of the agreement has been delayed until now. The issue is no longer merely negotiations to end the war or ease tensions, but has turned into a complex intelligence race. Every hour of delay means more pressure on Iranian decision-making circles, and a greater likelihood of exposing signals, movements or secret communication channels that are being closely monitored by US surveillance agencies. What is even more intriguing is that CBS did not merely report the news of the isolation, but published its details at a highly sensitive juncture, as if the message were directed straight into the Iranian regime: “We know that you do not know where he is.” This in itself may push some flustered circles into making the mistake that US intelligence is waiting for. Conclusion: The anticipated agreement may be merely a political façade for a much deeper battle taking place behind the scenes. Whilst the world speaks of a peace document, it appears that Washington is waging a battle in the shadows to reach the very head of the Iranian deep state itself. 🔥🇺🇸🇮🇷

President Trump is not well and should either resign or be legally removed from office - before it’s too late. On Saturday he claimed “an agreement had been largely negotiated” bt Iran and the U.S. to end the war and reopen the Straits. Then earlier today he says “*if*” he makes a deal, then implies it won’t include unfreezing Iranian cash - a stated requirement of Iran - and finally just an hr ago, posts the below image, without explanation, of a bomb dropping, likely meaning Iran (who else would he b suggesting we bomb?). These radical shifts, unsubstantiated claims of negotiated deals that haven’t been agreed to, then admitting there may be no deal, and finally implying he’s readying to return to war. How could ANY country trust this man to negotiate *anything*? Answer: they can’t and Iran won’t. That is a danger to America. President Trump has already taken us to war w Iran on outright fraudulent claims (“imminent threat” of a non-existent nuclear weapon). He had a diplomatic off ramp on a golden platter on 26 February that SHOULD have obviated the need for war, but he chose to attack anyway - leading directly to the unnecessary deaths of 13 Americans and the wounding of 400 more. Now he is proving he’s incapable or unwilling to take a diplomatic off ramp AGAIN. If he does not take the “walk away” option and does stumble us back to war, he should resign immediately. If he is unwilling, the cabinet officials should invoke the 25th amendment, and failing that, the House should do its job and impeach President Trump and the Senate should vote to remove him from office. If none act, and if the president takes us back to war illegally, we will suffer severe harm - and every member of the cabinet and Congress will b equally guilty for their failure to act to keep Americans safe.
