@FatsFats1 @Jen_Saha The federal government allows permanent standard time but daylight saving time only 6 months of the year. It would literally take an act of Congress to allow permanent daylight saving time.

@FatsFats1 @Jen_Saha It’s both. Prop 7 of 2018 authorized the State Legislature, by a two-thirds majority vote, to implement permanent daylight saving time if authorized by the federal government or, otherwise, permanent standard time.

ABC 10 aired their questioning of Dem candidates why they are running for Governor. Virtually all said “affordability”. Since their party has ruled this state for two decades and created the problem, circumstances completely negate their message. Perhaps voters will take notice.

Question of the week: to Reps who have generally been free-traders/opposed to tariffs in past (excepting China) & oppose SCOTUS decision AND to Dems who have been somewhat protectionist/favored tariffs in past & favor that decision, please explain w/out referring to Pres. Trump.

I'm running to be California's next Lieutenant Governor who will actually SHOW UP to do the work when the Governor is out of state. For example, if I had been in office NOW when Galavanting Gov @GavinNewsom was flying off to everywhere rather than doing the job he was elected to do, I think he would have thought twice before he even abdicated his responsibility to go campaign around the world since I would have not allowed CA to remain leaderless. Gov. Newsom said he didn't know anything about AB 1608, which would allow Inspector General of CA High Speed Rail to shield records from public if they "reveal weaknesses" that could be exploited, harm the state. His admin put out identical legislation: trailerbill.dof.ca.gov/public/trailer…

Ashley is right, of course. But here’s the thing. This is a complex question that begs for a more comprehensive study. The concern is that, looking at only one option might be intentionally leading to a preferred conclusion.
