There is a real spiritual struggle going on. When our leaders don’t approach the obviously sensitive issues at hand with the care they deserve, it makes a mockery of us all. @NYCMayor is an infiltrator, traitor to this nation, communist, and openly pushing a Muslim agenda. @Elpidophoros could have had this meeting but addressed the obvious elephants in the room. We need leaders who stand strong and speak up like @SabaEsber or @PatristicNectar not weak men who cow tail to the Church’s enemies for a photo shoot… Makes being in GOarch feel like a terrible choice.

I am torn. DeSantis is a brilliant mind. I have met him, heard him lecture - there are few who are his match intellectually - which is why he belongs on the Supreme Court. On the other hand, he is the most effective manager of a large bureaucracy that I have seen in my lifetime. For instance, I could see him being an excellent Vice President pick in 2028. That talent, which could really help the USA for decades to come - would be wasted, if he was on the Supreme Court.

Muslim immigrants in Johnston County have plans underway to build a ~20k sq. ft. mosque and school near Clayton The "Islamic Center of Clayton" is associated with the local chapter of the Muslim American Society, which is the American branch of the Muslim Brotherhood The school will likely be funded by the state's voucher program, which currently distributes millions of dollars a year to Islamic educations institutions

Well, I found out through a friend that the Muslims have purchased a 7 acre tract of land in Clayton, North Carolina in JoCo to build an Islamic Learning Center, already in operation in the house shown below. This property is located in Clayton ETJ, and according to the mayor, they have not applied for any permits. They basically snuck it in. Their plans are to build it out with a mosque and educational facilities. Town Hall has been alerted to this, so now we wait and see.....

Just putting it out there, my homeschooled kids begin learning Latin in grade 1 bc we are using a Classical Curriculum based on the Trivium model of learning. As someone who is actually in the process of homeschooling children and has been in the homeschool world for a few years now, I know many more homeschoolers who are defined by their dedication to academic rigor than not. It’s mostly the leftist “unschooling” types who end up neglecting their kid’s educational needs. They believe kids learn when they’re ready and don’t need formal training or instruction which is objectively retarded. This is a small percentage of homeschoolers and by no means reflect what’s going on in the average homeschool family. Most Christian, right leaning homeschool moms are borderline neurotic about making sure their kids are meeting and exceeding the standards set by the state. It is a calling and vocation to them, their child’s soul depends on success. They took their kids out of school not because they have an issue with schooling itself but an issue with the abysmal and ever decreasing academic standards in state schools. This is by far the most common type of homeschool mom I have encountered. Ultimately I’m very happy to live in a place where the state has no legal authority to oversee or meddle with my child’s education. If it did surely the mere fact that I am teaching my children to have an explicitly Christian worldview would be problematic to them.

Look, pro-homeschooling people are piling on this guy but he's not wrong at all. I know of families who are straight-up failing to teach their children beyond a 2nd-grade education. Like 16-year-old kids who don't know what the Capital of the US is, have never heard of Toronto, and could not perform a basic algebra problem. While it's true that there are many excellent homeschooling families whose instruction far exceeds that of any public school, the fact is that the American system of "school your kids however you want" does also yield a lot of severely stunted kids who get stuck playing "catch-up" for the rest of their lives. My wife was homeschooled, we might homeschool, I'm not averse to the practice per se, but it's a fact that there's a whole world of multi-generational homeschoolers who are not and will not rise above a 2nd or 3rd grade education level by their own volition. Should the state intervene in these cases? I dunno, the answer to the question is not as "easy" as many make it out to be. The idea of barely getting through 'Mary Had a Little Lamb' at the age of 16 should be appalling, and it IS happening in some American homeschooler families.

I am introducing a Constitutional Amendment to end Birthright Citizenship. Under current interpretations of American law, anyone born on American soil automatically becomes a U.S. citizen, regardless of whether the parent was here legally or not.  This is wrong and not at all the intent of those who wrote the 14th Amendment.  We are a country filled with immigrants, and legal immigration is valuable and should be protected. But we are also a country whose borders have been too open and our generosity exploited too often. President Trump has moved to seal our border from illegal immigrants more than any other president.   But we will have more to do. We need to make sure that only children born to legal residents of the U.S. are automatically citizens. I have supported protecting birthright citizenship from abuse since the beginning of my tenure in the Senate, when I cosponsored the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2011, and now I am proposing an amendment to protect United States citizenship in case the Supreme Court fails to address this issue correctly.
