Yesterday 38 Republicans killed a bill in the Senate to give women the right to contraception. Republicans are attempting to argue that it should be left up to the states to decide, not the federal government. Remember when Republicans wanted the federal government to outlaw same-sex marriage? Remember when many republicans wanted the federal government to ban internet gambling? Recall how many Republicans support federal prohibition on marijuana? So why was it OK for the Federal government to ban gambling, marijuana, and same-sex marriage, but when it comes to women having a right to contraception (birth control) it should be left to the states to decide? Hypocrisy?

Telling thread on behaviors that were unacceptable a few years ago but are commonplace now in schools: - Refusal to take notes - Inability to hand write - "Herds" wandering the halls - Simply talking over the teacher with impunity - Late work expecting no penalty - etc etc
