I had never heard of a “sovereign citizen” until like 2 weeks ago and now I’m addicted to watching videos of them getting their absolute shit pushed in by cops.

@HistoryBoomer Hasn't changed since I wrote (in Cop in the Hood) that Baltimore cops were far more tolerant about me being a Harvard student than Harvard sociology was about me being a cop.

2019's More in Common survey showed Democrats and Republicans being roughly equally bad at understanding the other side. Anecdotally, my progressive friends are pretty clueless about Republicans, but the conservatives I meet on Twitter have a cartoon understanding of Democrats.

@HistoryBoomer You are wrong on this Carl. There have been studies on this. Conservatives usually understand how liberals think. Most liberals have no idea how conservatives think. They just think people on the right are stupid or evil.

My daughter has finished her freshman year of college, and on the drive home she created a map of America divided into regions (on the left). Then after feedback she created an upgraded one (on the right). "My only fear is that this is too perfect," she said.

The Smith is a mini-chain of "upscale casual" restaurants. This is part of their dinner menu (I left off salads, etc.). Assuming the quality is good, would you consider their prices high, typical, or low compared to what YOU normally pay for eating out? Poll in next tweet...
