Soon as a team is above 8th in the league we can't play, the managers ingame management and substitutions are abysmal. I get the blaming the manager culture we've had, but we can't now accept constant under performing

@AlexGoldberg_ Yes, everyone spent months agreeing on the fact we have no top striker, CB, wingers or GK and yet Maresca is supposed to get us UCL Football. He’s done a very good job if he does, especially implementing a sustainable and modern style of play so fast.

Mixture of personnel and facing deep blocks. We lost Jackson and Madueke for a significant period which took massive weapons away against low blocks (Jackson hold up play + carries + link Up with Cole, Madueke only consistent driver + volume shooter on the wing) We were smashing everyone who tried to press high against us so teams started blocking the middle to block central (made it harder without Lavia too) and forced us wide whilst staying deeper. Players back and the right profiles in the summer + more time with the squad and I think we’ll be fine.

I do generally think Maresca will be fine at Chelsea, again, I don’t think they have enough quality to say they should finish T4 which is shocking after the amount of money but it’s the reality. I do sympathise with him on that. But one question for the fans … Has he become more rigid over time this season? Because I am a fan of Maresca and I liked how he had a structure but there was fluidity within that. Now, I’m not sure I see the same team. Is that down to personnel or is he asking for more rigidity?
