If you find the key to this position in five minutes, we shall think you a very promising aspirant for Caïssa’s honours.

@destructo9000 Far too true. My first ever gig was at Brixton academy when maiden were doing gigs to support Clive Burr. It would be a travesty to allow that place to fall

Government loves money, doesn’t give a shit about music. If they get their way the Brixton Academy will be luxury housing before the decade’s out!
Neil McCormick@neil_mccormick

I can't believe permanently closing Brixton Academy is even being considered. It is 1 of London's great historic venues, the heart of Brixton, bringing 1000s of people's footfall to the area nightly. #SaveBrixtonAcademy - Sign the Petition chng.it/JMP9JwB2 via @UKChange

As I get older I get more comfortable being my authentic self but as a side effect I feel more awkward, out of place and like I just jarr with most humans.

Never underestimate the impact you have on other people. It’s been a challenging day that left me in a down mood. But one single random DM changed all of that. Be nice to each other.

Trying to make my LinkedIn profile more interesting if a recruiter is using a large language model like GPT-4 to send me a message. Looks like it works on the public version of my profile!

Complicated modelling and blending shapes this evening. I hope it all comes together as it assembled next week. All the spare green stuff is going into a completely different project. A from-scratch sculpted large Ghazghkull head that might be in a diorama next year…

Feeling a lot better compared to last week, almost back to normal. Still got a few lingering effects and when there is too much going on or I have more than one thing happening, the symptoms start to come back. But NFC should be ok, just please bear with me, I might be slow :s

@TotherAlistair Aah, gotcha. Maybe it's easier to find common ground in what's definitely not a layered architecture and debate whether hexagonal had a place in that? I hope you have a nice discussion :)

@ronanklyne i'm in an argument: Is #hexagonalarchitecture a layered architecture or not. since I suspect "layers" has no meaning, the answer is "sure" ... but without a decent def or even just distinction for "layer", we can't even converse on the theme. that's why

@TotherAlistair Are you looking for rules to follow to produce a layered system or patterns to recognise one? I think each might result in a different formulation of what layers are

@TotherAlistair Could be. It's gotta be wide though. Wide enough that you don't need to go round it. I think the rule is that a layer hides all access to the layer below and the width of the API is a consequence.
