Fairly certain it is as simple as a lack of caring for anyone and anything that is not in the mirror when the wake up. Sadly including everyone and everything including family. How about looking at the judiciary? Criminal behavior is something that is tied to many things. (as an example, Dealers don't try to sell in areas that don't have buyers). Risk and Reward. What risk is faced? Harsh prison? Death Penalty? Or apologetic DAs who babble on about how hard it is for poor families. Start with demanding consequences greater than potential reward. Fairly simple and has long track record of success

For those who are unfortunate enough to never be in these, the ride was incredibly soft. The power coming from under the hood would throw everyone back in the seats. It was like sitting on clouds. Quite? Well take out the radio, and the kids, except for when the windows were open you only lost hearing from the ruckus in the car. Those cars were truly the height of comfort.

Back when my father loaded us into that '72 Chevy Kingswood like we were moving out for the weekend-casseroles from Grandma, cousins piled in, and zero legroom. Didn't matter... that wagon didn't just carry us, it carried Grandma's cooking and our loud, laughing. 😂
