been hit by the same @lyft scam a few times now - driver goes near but not to pickup point (wrong airport floor, one block off, etc) - this triggers wait timer - driver leaves - timer expires and you pay cancellation fee and lyft support is beyond incompetent, some AI slop bot

Super excited for Jeremy and Editframe today Can't stop thinking about this since he and I last chatted: A new round of format wars are upon us. As agents grow increasingly capable, open formats have a powerful tailwind due to their legibility. Editframe is an intersection of these things: an open format for video editing built on HTML/CSS, so it's familiar enough to untrained agentic tools to use on the fly. Using it the past few months, it one-shots things I wouldn't have the slightest clue how to do in Final Cut or Premiere. Agents can't use those tools effectively either because their formats are illegible. LLM legibility can be bootstrapped by deriving from existing formats in other domains. Not an investor, just a fan and friend!

dev workflow on simultaneous workstreams with git worktrees kinda sucks. lightweight VMs feel like the better abstraction on an OP base machine. but using UTM on mac to do this sucks too. anyone building a thing to make managing ephemeral VMs easy?

some notes: - immutable OSes are really cool! i use fedora atomic. major version upgrade today (43->44) was done in 5 mins with 0 breakage - all my peripherals "just work". including an Apple studio display. no logitech crapware - native containers rock. no docker app here

been daily driving linux on the desktop and wow, how things have changed! after 15y away, I'm blown away by the polish of today's desktop envs. cosmic by @system76 with tiling is everything I've tried to hack and rice mac os into being for years would recommend

@theo has been my workflow for years with mosh instead of ssh. OP on plane wifi especially would be super cool if T3 Code could support long-running persistent mosh sessions

Internet connection has been awful today. Finally set up a server to ssh and run agents reliably. This is rad, wish I did it a year ago
