@RachelJuly2009 @omgsidewalks That is critical, I very much agree otherwise you disintegrate yourself overtime of neglecting your own peace and tastes, instead avoiding people pleasing.

@Tapailspils @Rothmus No…. I couldn’t mention otherwise the post would be too long, there is a starting point of a minimum 40k a year earners than would start paying say 9% tax. Obviously it wouldn’t include someone who makes 1,300 a month as an example.

@roniulusoy @Rothmus Because living costs aren't percentage based. If you spend 1000 a month for living expenses, and only make 1300, losing 117 bucks will be very costly. Meanwhile if you are spending 50 000 but making 60 000, losing 5400 still leaves you with 4600, which is beyond comfortable.

Everyone says AI will replace most jobs. But if there are no jobs, there’s no income. No income means no spending. So how does the economy even function? What am I missing?

@roniulusoy @rawespresso Inflation is the government creating new money. It is a form of taxation. They're the first to spend it, so they benefit from it. It's stealing the wealth stealthily out of everyone's wallets. It's government, the very opposite of capitalism.

The UK economy has produced a generation of 30-year-olds who can't afford to leave home, can't afford to have kids, can't afford to retire, and can't afford to take a sick day.

@PeterSweden7 More people don’t need to have kids. Most people are shitty parents that don’t really love their children. People of quality need to have more kids.

It's not climate change. The falling birth rates is actually the biggest problem that humanity faces right now. How do we solve this and encourage people to have more children? Give me your best ideas 👇

Also could say the UK has produced a generation of 30 year olds with zero backbone that doesn't strike and doesn't protest. Too scared to fight and even die for change. They watch prices spiral out of control, watch homes being given to immigrants, watch theives steal in front of them & watch on the news the raping & murder of your kin. A generation that complains online and that's somehow therapy whilst the elites laugh at them & continue to turn the screws tighter unscathed. Too useless to live & too useless to die but will cry for another 50 years about how hard and unfair things are. Wake up, buttercups.

@Lancelanceuk @rawespresso This is one part of the story that’s maybe 10-20% of the problem max economically of the UK. Did you forget the world economically is falling apart as more countries enter hyper-inflation and capitalistic system is being exposed by newer businesses such as in the AI space?

@ItsDanMuiruri @Falcon0nX Everyone has their own story, that’s completely alright Dan if that’s you financial management, everyone got different priorities and strategies and this is all a game at the end of the day. What matters is having less regrets and living how you want instead of external pressures

@realmaxmeme @varien So they can try to hold on to the current system that their power system, assets, business models, orgs are set up from. Otherwise they’d lose a lot and they’d need to change their set up, probably radically.

@wokler_ @varien Still, is that such a bad thing? I think not. Good let the economy collapse and a new economy to start fresh because of the fundamentals broken at this era. The economy and how resources are distributed and used have always been about people/society. It can be adapted no problem.

@essonjon @varien Nosedive is normal for a rebalance to occur, you’ll see the same tendencies that look like this nosedive as if noooo all doom and gloom it’s going to go to 0 which it’s definitely not. This example can be seen in the stock market prices too or even the Bitcoin 2017 crash.
