Magogo has showed up at Sheraton hotel in Nakasero briefly, met with blogger Dean Saava Lubowa and both left after a very brief meeting. He had no visible security personnel around him save for the driver of some moderate car he came with!

Justine Bagyenda, the former Executive Director of Bank Supervision at the Bank of Uganda, was at the centre of the 2018–2019 COSASE probe into the closure and sale of seven commercial banks between 2015 and 2017. The parliamentary inquiry focused on allegations of irregularities in the bank closures, including undervaluation of assets, missing records, and possible corruption. Bagyenda, who supervised the banking sector at the time, faced scrutiny over her role in the processes. One of the main controversies involved allegations that critical Bank of Uganda documents were removed from the central bank premises, with CCTV footage reportedly showing aides carrying bags suspected to contain records linked to the closed banks. She was also accused of illegally acquiring properties connected to some of the defunct banks. However, COSASE later cleared Bagyenda of most property-related allegations, saying much of the evidence presented was doctored or unauthentic. The committee confirmed that only five of the 14 properties attributed to her actually belonged to her. The probe nonetheless exposed major governance and accountability concerns within the Bank of Uganda, making the saga one of Uganda’s most significant financial oversight controversies.

Tijjani Reijnders was named after former Super Eagles and Ajax forward Tijani Babangida. He has no ties to the nation of Nigeria, his parents were just huge Ajax fans and loved the name 😂🇳🇬

At the residence of Anita Among in Kololo, meals are all served by Serena Hotel’s outside catering. Of, when it’s time for lunch/dinner, a Serena food van drives in & everyone present at the time is treated to a full buffet by Serena Hotels! But there’s no money to pay teachers!

So I went offline earlier last night and this morning I woke up to so many messages in my inbox of "Is it true?" "What happened to her?" "Have you heard?". Every Filmmakers WhatsApp group was filled with "RIP" responses. And then I saw a message that devastated me and broke my heart. "Hey Benda, news coming in from canada is that this lady who was an actress has passed away in a hospital in Canada. She had been battling breast cancer. Just thought u should know." I trembled as I typed this post. Sally Elizabeth Bwamimpeke. One of the most gifted female performers I have interacted with and worked with. She was a jolly good fella. She had positive vibes every time we bumped into each other. It's a shock and saddening that you are gone Sally. I know you put up a very good fight until the last moment. Thank you for sharing your talent on TV, radio and stage. Your characters will live on. I am yet to find out details which I will share.

I advise some ladies to steer clear of some of these issues. It doesn't matter how many times Mzee calls you. That doesn't make you amount to anything! I remember Winnie Karagwa being as excited as some of you in 1986.

Ofwono Opondo today declined to hold a Bible or any other religious book while taking the oath. Opondo identifies as agnostic. A few years ago, Opondo refused to attend Thanksgiving prayers organised by his wife after he recovered from illness. @BbegMedia l1nq.com/hp0v9lj

Where were you on the 21st of July last year? Well, on that day, A LOT of money was withdrawn from the parliamentary SACCO: First, Scovia Kongai withdrew 500,000,000/=, then Joan Apolot withdrew 500,000,000/=, Apio Esther withdrew 500,000,000/=, Muzamil withdrew 400,000,000/= then Rachael Ainamasiko withdrew 400,000,000/=. That wasn't it. Not yet! Gonzaga Mitimbo withdrew 400,000,000/=, Esther Afoyochan withdrew 400,000,000/=, then Okema Leonard withdrew 400,000,000/=, then came @ChrisObore1. He withdrew 220,000,000/=, then he came back the same day & took 160, 000,000/=. Okema returned and took 210,000,000/=, then Molly Ozelle took 50,000,000/= and Muzamil another 50,000,000/=. So, within the 8 hours of that day’s work day, people close to the speaker withdrew at least 4,190,000,000/= - Four billion, one hundred and ninety million. All this money was signed for as for speaker’s outreach, for outreach by unnamed parliamentary commissioners, or for use to fulfil unfulfilled CSR pledges - in the case of Obore. Interestingly, this was the time Speaker Among was busy in the thick of her campaigns for NRM’s CEC. As many will recall, A LOT of money was spent in voter bribery during that election to the point that even the deputy speaker decried the amount of money spent by candidates he didn't name. In the end, Among trounced Kadaga with a difference not often seen in our politics. #UgandaParliamentExhibitionII
