@Alicat5551 @joni_askola I believe your first misunderstanding is that the majority of billionaires actually EARNED it. Inheritence, bought influence and corruption accounts for the majority of billionaires. Very few are "self-made."

I don’t want to give anyone the impression that I have a bias against wealthy people or that I’m joining a bandwagon of hatred against those who earned success through hard work. But there is a massive difference between building a fortune and believing your bank account gives you a moral or intellectual monopoly over everyone else. ​It is especially jarring to see individuals like Peter Thiel, who comes from a minority background that has historically faced its own struggles for acceptance turn around and use his prominence to mistreat and isolate others. There is something deeply presumptuous about the idea that because you’ve reached a certain financial height, you have the right to dictate the trajectory of a country you weren’t even born into. ​When helping a government looks like creating a society where you uplift a tiny elite and isolate the rest because you think they are of a lesser intellectual level, you aren't building a better future, you’re building a wall. Success should be respected, but this kind of overreach will always face pushback because people realize a simple truth: they didn't get there alone. We made them rich, and we aren't interested in a narrative that treats us as secondary in our own society.
