@TheStalwart re BNPL some data points from France: large chains offer 0% BNPL on white goods, electronics, etc. but not stacked on cc debt bc people use debit cards here. My bank doesn’t even offer a credit card. And many ppl still use checks (!)

Despite constant attempts to paint me as an anti-Zionist, I retain the same beliefs I always have: 1) Israel must remain an independent Jewish state for the safety of the Jewish people. 2) Boycotting Israel and depriving it of arms is immoral and wrong, especially when it is at war. 3) Israel has every right to defend itself against terrorism. 4) Israel is not committing genocide in Gaza. 5) Israel is not an apartheid state and treats its minorities better than any of the other countries in the region. I love my country as much as I ever have. I just want it to do better.

When I criticize Israeli policy, I get a lot of comments asking when I am going to stop being a Zionist. The answer is never. The Jewish people need a home, or they will be hunted down and killed. I believe in that now more than ever, with all the antisemitism in the world. But being a nation with power also gives Israel the responsibility to treat others well and act in accordance with international law. I will continue to occupy that difficult space of criticizing Israeli actions while supporting its existence. It can be done and it must be done.

.@NYTimes might want the know that there are possibly violent demos planned in Paris for PSG v Maccabi Tel Aviv. Almost all of the major French politicians are going to attend to show that antisemitism is unacceptable in France. The hard left disagrees.

Democrats are massively outspending Republicans, thanks to many high-profile billionaire donors that NEVER receive an ounce of scrutiny — some of whom are also actively involved as campaign surrogates. This is pathetic, even for the propaganda press.
