@AgentChud To prevent the *optics* of him getting his pecker caught in a forever war, he might. We've seen how he reacts to taking a loss (2020 election). Funny how rich kids grow into adults with the same rich kid tendencies.

@prestonstew_ Rubio vs Hegseth, I got Rubio all day. He's cool as a frosty morning under pressure. Been proving his quality the last couple days better than most.

"Rubio and Hegseth were described as “at each other's throats” over the question of whether the US should deploy troops to Iran at Israel’s request, the sources told MEE. Hegseth is supportive of the position, while Rubio is deeply wary of entangling the US in a long war." middleeasteye.net/news/tensions-…

@prestonstew_ From the opening speech Trump said it is up to the Iranian people to take over leadership of their country, US forces were just providing the opportunity. Its hard to consider regime change a "goal measuring success of the operation" when its not being handled by the US.

White House lists the four objectives for Operation Epic Fury. No mention of regime change or the protestors rather a focus on military capabilities, proxies and nuclear program.
The White House@WhiteHouse

OPERATION EPIC FURY: 1. Destroy the Iranian regime's missiles 2. Annihilate their Navy 3. Ensure their terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the world 4. Ensure Iran can NEVER obtain a nuclear weapon America will win. The terrorist Iranian regime will be defeated.

@ZTheTrader I've learned to trust your opinion on these kind of points. Some of the stats I was seeing regarding the straight of Hormuz had me considering "maybe oil isn't an overcrowded trade". But if it's not expected to be locked down for long, then it's not a good bet.

⚡️The Traveling Trader⚡️
So many, "this time it's different" comments on yesterday's video when I reiterated the point that the market will likely not see the "limit down" catastrophic reaction on Monday. The US economy is not disrupted by war. It is built and propped up by the military complex. The US also has a geographic advantage with no enemies to the north or south of us, and an entire ocean away from conflict zones (not to mention bases within reach of basically anywhere to enforce deterrence and defense). Would you sell your $GOOG stock because a hotel in the UAE was hit by a drone? Is $META going to be affected by the Strait of Hormuz closure? VIX shocks, wildly swinging commodity prices, sure. But the broader market? Doesn't make sense. And folks will point to the 1973 oil embargo as a worst case scenario of how spikes in oil prices can tank our economy. But, in 1973 the US was a net importer of oil. Today we are a net exporter of oil. Our import dependency is net negative and we're the #1 oil producer in the world. Even the oil we do import is mainly from Canada and Mexico, not the Middle East (as it was back in 1973). So no, I don't believe this time is different at all.

In a democracy, it’s absolutely ok to define who can use the things you make and how. But it’s also absolutely ok for the Government to lose trust in you, tell you to fuck off and find an alternative. It’s also absolutely ok for you to nuke your own company in the process. The timing of this is not good for Anthropic and could be a potential boon to every other model that is exceeding expectations in their upcoming version (Grok, OAI, Gemini). More generally, I don’t see how this isn’t a slippery slope. What if a model maker updates their ToS that would block a use case that is legal but subjective? Agreeable in some states but not in others? What about in different countries with different governance or religions? It’s a huge can of worms. How can a government or company rely on a model that could have an ever-changing definition of what’s allowed without taking on major business/governance risk? They won’t. My hunch is that the company that embraces the “no holds barred” ToS will win because it’s the least risky to adopt wrt long term risk of getting rug-pulled.

@BullyEsq been dealing with on my non dominant arm. Get a lightweight exercise band, for doing light strength training in all range of motion. Especially external rotation. Once its not too painful that is. Anything that increases blood flow to the area speeds up the healing process.
