Peterborough allegedly paid "around £1million with 3/400K in add-ons" per @lancstelegraph. If this rumour is true, we've sat on £1.5m+ (of the millions in unbudgeted income received this year) that's been unavailable for transfers until the final hours of the window #pafc
RoversXtra@RoversXtra

🚨 Harry Leonard has signed for Peterborough United, despite Plymouth Argyle making a bigger last-minute offer to Blackburn on deadline day. Deal nearly collapsed but he us now a Posh player. #BRFC | #Rovers | #PUFC | #ThePosh | #Argyle | #PAFC

@Geddonyajanners @SamDown93 What an unreasonable expectation: that your supporters might support you (or at least not abuse you) for trying your best...

@SamDown93 He was a very poor footballer for us. He must recognise that as much as we could see it. Tried his best I’m sure, but was ultimately terrible 🤷‍♂️. Surely he couldn’t expect people to simply happy clap him because he was popular in the dressing room???

@palmerjp89 Jay (hello mate!) you realise that's a different budget? I.e. it's not from money that ever would have been available for the first team? I don't get why people are so against something that will have huge long term benefits, while we've still got a good budget in the short term

@zakbrownz @FeedTheSpud It says the £12.5m is in addition to the operating costs of the club — i.e. it's a separate budget. I think it's very clear.

@RobShanahan27 @Argyle Is your post intended as gratitude for shareholders raising *additional* funds for a long-term investment in the club's future success? Or do you not understand what 'additionally' and 'separately' mean here?

@jackolesliepafc Do see your point, but think there's also benefit this way round. I think an extra game with lower stakes is better for LAH to improve/gain confidence than the next league match.

@rowan_hm Games are coming thick and fast. Loads of time for LAH to drop more clangers. Was the perfect chance for young Baker for me. A real shame.

@olpafc_ @deanball__ I agree that Rooney was a mistake, but with a bottom three budget and that squad we might still have gone down with any manager. They can take accountability but don't know how you can 'expect' promotion any more than Luton, Cardiff, Huddersfield etc

@rowan_hm @deanball__ It’s not from entitlement. It’s from the fact that had the club not opted for PR over the clubs safety in the league, we would still be in the championship. They need to take accountability for it, and there’s no reason why us fans shouldn’t be expecting an immediate return

Why is our fanbase so entitled of recent times? Can you imagine if social media was around for signings like Tony Capaldi, David Friio or David Norris? Completely uninspiring careers prior to Argyle and all went on to be hugely important players #PAFC

@olpafc_ @deanball__ I understand the frustration, but I don't think that's how the world works? There are lots of clubs similarly motivated to get promoted with similar/more resources. For me not 'settling for less' comes from a sense of being entitled to be in the championship.

@rowan_hm @deanball__ It’s not entitlement. It’s having to put up with a season of misery due to the boards decision to make a PR appointment. They should be doing everything they can to get us straight back up, why should we settle for less after the mess of last season?

@olpafc_ @deanball__ All other things being equal (which they're not - we know we don't have the most resources in the division), I would expect top 6 clubs that hadn't just suffered relegation and the turnover of most of their squad to have a better chance

@olpafc_ @deanball__ I love your passion, but for me "'should be getting promoted, no exceptions" is an example of the entitlement Dean's talking about. I'm sure everyone at the club is aiming for promotion, but a top 6 budget ≠ guaranteed promotion. Plus non-budget factors...

@argyle_analyst Maybe! But it doesn't stack up to me that we would loan out for no fee, unless there were no other viable offers. In general it seems the fans (not necessarily you) increasingly default to assuming Argyle are being naive commercially, rather than give the benefit of the doubt 🤷

@rowan_hm I didn't say definitely no loan fee, I said that I presumed there was no loan fee, for reason I stated 😂 maybe you're right, but you're signing a 25 y/o attacking mid who's won L1 and L2 and has a a good L1 record (13G 9A from 54 apps)

This is such a hard reset. How badly do you have to want rid of a player to loan them out in the final year of their contract to a potential rival? Presumably no loan fee, else we'd have surely just agreed a sale? There really best be some excellent signings coming

@KQSupport it has been 10 days since I replied to your Customer Relations team by email, about my complaint 250610-14544670. I have sent several follow-ups; I've tried calling and spent an hour waiting with no answer. Do you think this is acceptable customer service?

@JonPAFC @argyle_analyst ...so the agent says the only way the player signs a new deal is with the low RRC, leaving Argyle the choice of selling in 2023, letting the contract running out, or going with the RRC — I think the latter was the best option

@JonPAFC @argyle_analyst Agreed. We don't know what other offers they were getting at the time - Hardie after scoring 17 and Randell after starting the majority of games at 22 in a title winning season. Plus Argyle may well have larger wage reductions built in for relegation than other clubs...

@Argyle Does this mean all available seats (1500+ the 5% not renewed) are now available to the top of the list? Previously there were >10,000 season tickets. So 5% unsold would be >500, meaning >2,000 now on sale. I'm below this on the list but haven't received an invite to buy.

Shall we set up a bingo card for Miron at Schalke? Possibly: 1. Your colours are now mine. 2. We do this together. 3. Something about intensity. Bonus points if he includes the words “in Belgium” 4. I’m a refugee 5. Fallen in love with Schalke 6. No doubt Add your own #pafc

@ChiIdishDanbino I don't know what Schalke average for friendlies against third division foreign opposition, but I'm guessing that would require about 50,000 greens to go on a jolly to Germany's worst city 😂

Absolute pisstake, but I’m on board with the idea.. Shared gate receipts at a 60k capacity stadium, if we schedule it for next summer then he won’t even be there #pafc
Anthony Joseph@AnthonyRJoseph

UPDATE: Schalke are close to agreeing terms with Plymouth Argyle boss Miron Muslic. He's been offered a two-year deal, including an exit clause. A £1m fee was agreed and #S04 also offered #PAFC a “special bonus” to play in a friendly in the future, which is yet to be accepted.
