I have long been a critic of the OBR. Long before you caught up with me three years ago. Even when I presented Budget shows in the previous decade for the BBC I was critical, within the constraints of what was properly permissible as a BBC anchor. I never missed an opportunity to highlight how regularly its forecasts were wrong — and often by big margins. I also criticised its regular overestimate of productivity growth. I’ve seen your other tweets. I will reply in due course. But I’m in New York in business and have rather more pressing matters to attend to at the moment.

Probably a lot of truth in what’s being said here. How could ⁦@SkySports⁩ not discuss such a ‘HUGE’ incident. Compounded now by ⁦⁦@GNev2⁩ and his attack on #lfc statement - the dots are starting to connect.

@RogerHarpum @Attwell_M Never say never! It is unfortunate. I don't think such a mistake (negligent) has been made before. Precedent needs establishing to ensure similar incidents cannot happen. My view is the ref was to eager to confirm his decision was right. Bias? Who knows. I've blocked Leon.

Let's just be accurate about the error at Spurs yesterday. Would it have changed the final score - maybe - Liverpool might have scored again, or not. Would Spurs have scored in reply - maybe, maybe not. So it's all conjecture - to say Liverpool were robbed of a point (or 3) is ??

@leonloberman End of the season. Really! Its about momentum now. That was with Liverpool. The game needs to be replayed. This was a momentus error. Eclipsing but highlighting the failure of the system in so many ways. Even you should acknowledge this.

All you can say is Liverpool were robbed of a goal which may or may not make a difference at the end of the season.
