It’s an automatic ( dual clutch transmission - which is in fact from an architecture perspective similar to a manual but shifts automatically - two of them on two sides of the clutch, so you go from one side to another seamlessly- hence the name dual clutch). This transmission takes the input from driver via the shifter (gated manual shifter) and engage to the gear he/she requests. Same thing with the clutch, there is a clutch pedal, but it is just an input device - the clutch inside the transmission receives this as an input and delivers a response. In the end, both clutch and gear lever are there to take your input, the transmission underneath respond to that. Hence the name manual by wire - hope this helps !

Can someone explain what "manual by wire" means like I'm 5
Motor1@Motor1com
Ferrari just brought back the "manual" transmission with the 12Cilindri Manuale. • 'Manuale-By-Wire' mimics a gated manual and clutch pedal • Driver can choose automatic or manual mode • Limited to 1,499 cars What do you think? motor1.com/news/800495/fe…

@Motor1com It is an 8 speed Dual Clutch Transmission underneath, the lever and clutch pedal is there just to give an illusion and input to clutch engagement and shifting.

@AskLindal @tomas_salvo22 Actually, building the world‘s fastest RC airplane is the best job application.
English

Since February, I've designed and built the world's fastest RC airplane in my college dorm, and that’s not clickbait. Reaper has a 5kg carbon-fiber frame, 250N turbojet, and flies at 500mph. New to X and will be going through the whole build here in the coming days.

@VerdeSelvans Apple is insanely impressive when it comes to dealing with issues like this. I had several experiences like this. These are their biggest ads

I had my cameras replaced at Apple Shinsaibashi but the technician scratched my phone
He offered to replace it though.
However, the Japanese version is eSIM only and mine has a SIM slot. Furthermore, I can’t accept it because my country has IMEI regulations requiring taxes for using a SIM card provider.
So the solution is that the repair technician created a case number and contacted Apple Support in Indonesia and Singapore to assist with my case. They’ll coordinate the process so I can get my unit replaced once I’m back in Indonesia.
I’m really impressed with how seriously the technician handled this.
I’ll keep you all updated on how this goes.

@CharmOfCulture I live here - it’s incredibly underrated. Close to Langhe - amazing wines and the cuisine is superb!
