I'm attending a discussion at @The_RHS tomorrow about peat. It's complicated.. Obv we should stop using peat. European hort. is almost 100% peat and we are heavily reliant on European plant production for plants sold in UK. All those £4.00 Poinsettias? Certainly peat-grown..

@johnredwood Double capacity, half demand, improve storage. Seems a better alternative to destroying the ecosphere.

This morning solar and wind has slumped to just 4% of our electricity with gas,coal and wood at 73%. Those who say rely on wind turbines need to explain what we do when the wind does not blow instead of telling us to close all the generators that keep the lights on.

We are currently using up 1.7 Earth’s worth of the raw materials for building “renewables” - and are on the way to using 3 by 2050. We will run out of materials before we ever get to an energy transition under current plans. We need less growth and less energy usage.

Team I need urgent help. A few wks before Xmas our landlord has told us to leave the land we’ve been renting for almost 4 years now. Without land we cannot be flower farmers. We’re looking for land in or around County Durham NE England. About 1 acre. Pls RT
