Wanted to share some cold email tips from one of the top Instantly users 👇 Oskar Moen got 5,000+ positive replies from cold emails last year. Some of his takeaways: 1) Soft CTAs get 10X more positive replies (for example don't push for a call right away, ask if there's interest first) 2) Create curiosity gaps in your copies to motivate prospects to follow your CTA. 3) Track metrics relentlessly. 4) Do a lot of testing, but only change one variable at a time. 5) Use memes and videos in your follow-ups.

If you're running a lead gen agency, you probably want to onboard as many clients as possible. But it's really important to find clients with VALID and COMPELLING offers. It may sound obvious, yet many people in the quest to grow end up with clients with horrible websites or basic, uninteresting offers. Getting leads for these clients is incredibly hard or even impossible. Focusing on clients with good offers is a win-win. You have an easier time and make more money, they get a better service and results.

Before starting Instantly, we had our own lead gen agency where we sent millions of cold emails. One of the most important lessons we learned from that was to not overcomplicate things. A short and simple email always worked the best. Beginners often overengineer their emails trying to reinvent the wheel. If you're just starting out you can check out the Instantly Accelerator (log in to Instantly, bottom left corner) with tons of guides and useful materials. Just mimic the strategies given there. Also, start small and learn by doing. Begin with a simple setup (2-3 domains, 2-3 email accounts) and gradually gain the experience. Oh, and having a good offer that people are interested in makes things a lot easier.

If you're going to include links in your emails, don't use link shorteners like bit. ly. They look great but they're awful for deliverability.
