Officers have been in the Picton Terrace and Carmarthen Park areas since just after 4pm yesterday.
Police are investigating the incident as an attempted murder. A male suspect has been identified, and enquiries are ongoing to locate and arrest him.

The Carmarthen attack which happened in the park yesterday afternoon was not a ‘random attack’, police have said, and the suspect is known to the woman, who has been taken to hospital with stab injuries to her torso and hand.

A big tanker crashed off the road just outside Carmarthen yesterday morning. It was carrying 28,000 litres of milk when it left the road and slid down an embankment near Ffynnon-ddrain.
The driver was taken to hospital in an ambulance. Hope he makes a full recovery.
