Wheelchair users have been trying for ages to raise awareness about their wheelchairs being broken so often when they fly, and the devastating impact this has on them. @AmericanAir baggage handlers decided to give a demonstration of how much they enjoy breaking them 😡

@VdeVentura I do use Reddit too but it’s not easy to make a comment as you need karmas and I keep getting my posts removed. It’s annoying.

@runhappylife Recently I had a coworker say his goto is reddit... I like reddit but have never tried to hangout there for web dev... Also, a lot of OSS maintainers hang around here... That's my main reason to stay... If I see most of them agreeing to move to one place... I'd surely follow

Is this thing still on? My last post was almost a year ago. Twitter is no more and is now known as X, supposedly valued at $19B. If you are still using X, tell me why you never left. What’s in it for you?

@VdeVentura I tried Mastadoon but never really got into it. Otherwise I’m mostly on LinkedIn but it is not the same as Twitter/X.

@runhappylife It sucks, but unfortunately it's where everyone still is. I was hoping everyone would move to Jack's other color platform (apparently naming it gets you kicked off??) but sadly it didn't pick up as much momentum as I'd like.

@rhonab I loved it as the original Twitter and I was hoping it would stay that way. Also I enjoyed the feedback and banter with those I interacted with.

@LinuxJedi I downloaded the Mastadon app but it tells me to choose a server but no idea which server to choose. If anyone has a list that would be helpful.

Has anyone taken the QA column out of their sprints/workflow? I understand (and agree) that testing is not an activity that is done at the end. But how do you test a ticket if you don’t have a QA column? How do you know when something is ready to test? #qualityengineering

@runhappylife Yep, no QA or Test column. My teams own their testing and understand it's a continuous thing throughout development

@maaretp I look at the pull requests too to see which components devs have been working on and ask questions in case I need to test something that is not mentioned in the Acceptance Criteria.

@StooCrock How did you get the team to take responsibility? Was there any resistance?

@runhappylife Yep it's gone. The team take responsibility, have a conversation and then decide together when it's right to start exploring

@TriIronClyde I would say where I work is agile-ish. We don’t have a scrum master or do retrospectives but we have sprints with stories and a backlog. It works but there is room for improvement.

@runhappylife Depends how the Agile team is set up and the testing process. That’s how my experience has been

@NicolaLindgren I like not having to “fail” a ticket whenever it needs to go back to Dev for more work. “Fail” is a such negative word. Instead assigning it back to the dev and using labels in Jira can help with understanding what state a ticket is in.
