If you run, no matter your distance or pace, you are a runner. 🙌🏽 please remember that.

Yesterday, people voluntarily ran a marathon in the Ottawa freezing rain. Rory Linkletter finished 3rd in 2:09:43, mid-race saluted Mark Carney, and missed 1st by 21 seconds. Full breakdown: raceblok.com/articles/rory-…

Eliud Kipchoge is 41 and entering his globetrotting rockstar era. He just kicked off a 7-continent world tour in Cape Town. Running a 2:13 while high-fiving screaming fans is the ultimate flex. The GOAT is just here for the vibes now. Full breakdown: raceblok.com/articles/kipch…

“But I’m slow.” A comment I hear all the time in running. People need to stop drilling this phrase into their heads. It does nothing for you. If you’re running a 5k, 10k, or even a marathon you should be proud of yourself regardless of pace. You lined up when most wouldn't.

Double workout day! In the morning I did a walk/run for 4.1 miles with 11x longer runs pickups. In the evening my wife and I started walking and then I ran 13x short pickups out and back and then walked with my wife for 2.9 miles. Both workouts followed by stretching and ab work.

A few miles on this beautiful Central Texas morning. This little deer was trotting along the road in front of me for awhile, taunting me, slowing down and then speeding up, like she knew I was too slow to catch her 😆 Happy Friday!

Before work I got in a nice 21.7 miles stationary bike ride in 61 minutes, followed by stretching and abdominal exercises. After work I had good intentions to workout but I got a flat tire and didn’t have a spare. I had to get my car towed to the tire shop.

My first 100 mile week. ✅ Was a fun week. Ate a lot, listened to a lot of podcasts, and enjoyed the cooler weather. Not doing 100 miles next week but will try to do a bunch of miles. ✌🏽

@runmorganrun_ Great job! When I was much younger I used to play around with different strategies for mileage. I might do a 100 mile week followed by an 80 mile. Then I would do 100-80-60 mile weeks where I’d race on the 60 mile. Good luck with your training.
