Because that’s the ONLY thing in an applicant’s control ✅ 👉 Once a credit card application is submitted 📄✍️ • The applicant has ZERO control over approval timelines ❌ • The bank has 100% control over the approval date ⏳ • Delays can happen for any reason, and banks aren’t obligated to explain 🤷‍♂️🏦 👉 Now imagine this becoming a norm 😨 If joining-offer eligibility is decided by “date of approval” instead of “date of application”: ❌ Applicants are left completely at the mercy of the issuing bank ❌ Any joining benefit can be denied just by delaying approval ❌ Transparency goes out of the window 🪟🚫 ⚠️ This is outright unfair With this approach, a card issuer can technically deny a joining offer to anyone — without the applicant doing anything wrong. 🔥 What makes this episode even worse?
