Studies in Tanzania have shown: In children, 70% of fevers are viral origin. Malaria cases were 10.5%, UTI 5.9% and Typhoid 3.7%. In adults, 61% were of viral origin. Malaria, UTI and Typhoid were 4.7%, 4.0% and 4.4% respectively. More proof to over-duagnosis of Typhoid and UTI.
