@Acyn @AOC Is it just me or has every female politics been a victim of rape (according to them). I don’t remember this person ever mentioning this before

AOC: Abuse always happens in the shadows. No amount of vouching for or knowing a person can negate a victim’s experience. As a survivor of rape who didn’t speak about it after it happened, I understand the pain and the weight of carrying something like that. This is why we have to center survivors.

This might be controversial but why can the transgender community safely take high doses of estrogen or testosterone, but a menopausal woman is told no because it causes cancer, heart attacks or stroke?

I'd love to know the difference in legal liability between a) freely cancelling a festival due to public uproar and b) cancelling it after the government has revoked your headliner's visa.

Difficult or combative people are trying to re-enforce victimhood in almost every experience they have. Daily interactions become an opportunity for them to create conflict where conflict doesn't exist.

The article has over a thousand comments, which are morbidly fascinating but insightful. My TL;DR is that men and women view venting to an LLM (and how to process the responses) VERY differently. substacktools.com/sharex/5EF6DH5t

Wild article about a woman who broke up with her bf after reading his ChatGPT conversations about her. I suspect we’re going to be seeing a lot more of this over the coming months as people use LLMs for emotional support / venting. It’s like listening to a therapy session!

This is gross, so naturally I have to share. My accountant just explained crematoriums have adapted to the obesity epidemic to prevent massive...grease...fires. Here's what they do: Turn down the heat from 2800 to 1500 Bake the entire day, instead of minutes And put...

I admire women who LEAVE. Period. I don't care if you left the first time he disrespected you, or if it took ten years, five breakups, three “I'm sorry, I'll changes, and a thousand silent tears behind closed doors. I admire that, because you know what? LEAVING isn't easy. People love to say “just walk away” like that doesn't come with pain, guilt, fear, confusion, or even grief. But choosing to leave something familiar, even when it's toxic, is a STRONG act of self love.

A cheating man is bad enough. But you know what's even worse? A man who pretends to be good but in reality is a pathological liar, lustful manipulator, and an expert at playing the victim.
