It's nearly impossible to reconcile yourself to death at the end of your life, if you haven't faced it til then. You have to acknowledge it long before, pre-grieve it and make your life choices with its inevitability in awareness.
A graceful death can take decades.

it took me a really long time to see frustration tolerance as skill, rather than an innate quality. I think because there were some things I was very determined not to tolerate growing up. So it gets a little complicated. but muddying the details here can get very costly
