Look.. if Ederson really is £35M (rising to £38M) on a £75,000 week salary *financially* it’s not a terrible deal. Buy 2 other TOP midfielders and United fans (including myself) will feel a lot better about the deal. INEOS have probably earned the right to be trusted overall.

No issues with Ederson coming to Man Utd as long as the club don't see him as a marque midfield signing. Elite midfielder + Mateus Fernandes + Ederson would be fine. Ederson is an upgrade on Ugarte, he's just not in the same bracket as Tonali/ Anderson who have been linked to City/ Arsenal so would be underwhelming if the club see him as the Casemiro replacement (which I doubt they do). One of Tonali/ Anderson/ Tchouameni + Mateus + Ederson is a good summer.

You can't be serious. I'm talking about United here. You can't bad mouth a player, toss him out for loan, agree a ridiculously low price (30M) relative to talent and then expect an elite offer. Every syllable out of Amorim mouth regarding Rashford tanked his valuation.
When Amorim was talking crazy, the board didn't reign him in. Barca was always going to need wingers, Rashford was always going to be open to moving there...there was a sensible way to go about this, but United chose unserious chaos.
